Less than the cost of one failed Carnival.

Just waiting to see the "blame the FNM" followers rubbing their hand in glee. The reality is that this dire financial situation is due in large part to the criminal spending of OUR money, by the incompetent and corrupt PLP. The average diehard PLP supporter still believes there is a money tree to provide countless government jobs and replace aging infrastructure. Sorry if we get downgraded everybody suffers with the exception of the ex ministers who have foreign bank accounts and property.

Thats because price gouging is a regular event especially withbfood prices on the family islands.

Some good ideas but remember churches often become an extension of one persons dream and also are in many cases a money making business. Not sure about the tax break for atheists?

Your so stupid that basic grade one maths escapes you.The PLP borrowed and spent like there was no tomorrow leaving little or no wiggle room for the incoming administration. Any possible hurricane damage affects the national economy and all of us and you can't get blood out of a stone.

Typical of everything in this country.Have a Carnival but don't fix what is necessary. And yet on Eleuthera weeks and weeks have been spent at huge cost ripping a hillside just to get a level surface to build this so called hospital. Doesn't anybody think these things through. A classic case of our eyes are bigger than our bank balance.

OMG says...

You are deluded Mudd take sic. It was the PLP that drove debt to these unsustainable levels and left the following government with few options. On what planet do you live ?

OMG says...

Oh thank you for saying what I have always said. If there is this powerful God why can he not prevent the storm ? If he can't prevent the storm then he sure as hell can't do much about what happens afterwards.

Many good ideas but I equate the problems being faced by the FNM with the aftermath of the flooding and destruction in Texas. Many problems can be solved such as reducing wasteful expenditure, firing over retirement age individuals and so on but you are asking the Government to do so much when the last corrupt lot left such huge debt. The post office comment is right on point with mail often never delivered or magazines being stolen for employees own benefit.I know as one annual subscription to an international newspaper was traced to Nassau but I never received one copy. Another annual subscription to a magazine resulted in me getting one copy. And this corruption doesn't only go on in the P.O.

The reality is that is you knew the right person you could walk right out of industry into the classroom -FACT. There is one school where a music teacher is unqualified but used to drive a jitney. That being said the practical subjects are always short of teacher so why not encourage above average BTVI woodwork, Small engine, plumbing, electrical students to enter the profession whilst completing a part time course at COB. Much better than disinterested Cubans who simply accrue as much wealth as possible to take back whilst spending as little as possible.
