As always blame your failings on someone else " pre dates this administration". You friggin idiot ,you have had 4 1/2 years to take care of these and many other matters so the blame lays with your governments shoddy ways.
I think he has finally had a visible mental breakdown, and what is even more unbelievable is that some gullible voters will believe his nonsensical statements. Amazing that today just before the election a new basketball court is being opened in Wems Bight, after almost 5 years in office ??. This country is so deep in debt that any re-elected government will struggle to do anything positive bar pay down the debt. If free electricity is the latest election gimmick then we all need to leave before the Bahamas goes the way of Venezuela. Bar living with one light bulb and a 12" black and white TV I am at a loss of how I lower my exorbitant electricity bill and this iMarch.
Calling and institution a University does not make it a University, Bamsi is a disaster and produces nothing that the experienced old time farmer cannot produce. And added to that all these so called acomplishments have been done by borrowing in excess of VAT revenue and plunged the country into almost unsustainable debt. Yes the defence force is doing a great job of protecting our fishing grounds but what about all the missing funds from various government departments for which there is no investigation, no prosecution and no explanation ?
As I frequently mention the public tends to forget the raft of other less obvious taxes. Stamp Tax on accounts, VAT on accounts, Hazzard disposal tax (the dump) on and on. It wouldn't be so bad if something constructive was done with this money that conveniently disappears into the consolidated fund but nothing is done of any worth such as paying down the national debt (not deficit), replacing aging power stations, providing reliable water supplies, fixing the roads.
The flag ting is probably a hoax but there a much more subtle ways of bribing the public. In the last election we witnessed the PLP candidates lackys driving the simple and weak to the polls with and telling them which way to vote,
What people don't realise is that the PLP or FNM will have no choice about IMF involvement if spending is not curbed and the national debt reduced. I don't think the average Bahamian realizes that so much of the nations cash is going to repay debts that little is left to renew the power plants or water supply.
