Whilst doctors deserve a wage that reflects their skill and training how can they justify a charge my daughter who had a fractured elbow incurred where the doctor gently forced her arm from one position to another (no sedative) for travel purposes, a procedure that took less than 5 minutes and the charge to insurance was $800.00 ???????????. There is a lot more icing on the cake than is being stated.

Correction. On the wall for the public to see in our local Customs office is a sign which says "from day one of the introduction of vat the government will start to pay down the national debt ".
As for BAMSI, what they grow is already being done by experienced farmers so why not grow stuff we really need. Example a cauliflower in our local shop cost in excess of $6, when translated into pounds it cost over 5 pounds sterling. That same cauliflower can be purchased in the UK for around 90 p say $1. 10 approx. If BAMSI was a million dollar investment then start producing produce that is imported at stupidly high prices.

A friend of mine who had a bar always said " when I hire a new barmaid I always hire a rookie with no experience, because it takes them time to learn how to rip me off". The same applies to this government that with all its experience has taken us all to the brink of financial ruin with its unchecked and wasteful spending. Maybe we should apply the same logic to a new administration, but unfortunately whomever wins drastic action will be needed or the IMF and others will dictate terms. Watch for more tax rises and VAT increases .

This is exactly what is wrong with the day to day operation of this government, deep in debt, downgrading a very real possibility, devaluation being talked about, aging infrastructure and yet no one faces the reality of making cuts.

It defies belief that Christie can stand up in Parliarment and with a straight face try and justify the spending of VAT. The reality is that instead of paying down the deficit it has been a pot of gold to waste on dubious projects. Look at the huge area of land cleared in Palmetto Point Eleuthera for a proposed hospital. The existing clinic in Governors Harbour could have been completely repaired , expanded and modernised for less than has been spent purchasing this land. Its that type of voodoo economics that is ruining this country.

Take action now to end the suffering of these poor animals.

Its actually illegal to ride on the side of a truck. As an EMT I have attended many fatalities and related brain injuries, but added to this should be included the young macho men who drive motorcycles without using a helmet or one that is improperly secured. Police need to start booking these irresponsible drivers if for no other reason than to save themselves from themselves.

Pretty obvious even without these statistics.

I continue to wonder at the opposition not fighting back especially as the so called "peoples station" is in fact a political extension of the PLP. All coverage of Christie and his ministers but none whatsoever for the FNM. surely the FNM should be fighting for equal coverage and I also wonder whether the PLP will ever pay for the political messages continually being screened on ZNS. This is NOT democracy in any way shape or form.
