BTC has been a disgrace, more so ever since they were sold to Cable & Wireless.
Those who were involved in the sale of BTC should be considered traitors.
The one cash cow we had, and now those dollars are going into other people's pockets.
Sad.

6 -7 months from June 2022.
And, this guy blames others.
Someone like Darville, who worked for me, would be out of a job.
First, for non-performance and incompetence, and second for being an untruthful bullshittter.
Failures to the highest degree.
And, how about a status report on all the other multi-million dollar health facilities in the country?
How about it Tribune. What is the status report on all the others.

Wow, so nobody thinks that we have idiots in Parliament?
Nobody understands business and tourism?
The point is clear. The government rolled these fees out as if they know everything and do not need to communicate or converse with the stakeholders.
Those paying attention, who may read a book from time to time, realize that this country is doomed unless we start electing intelligent and educated people into office.
Presently, it is hard to see how any in Parliament are anything other than selfish little boys and girls.
Prime Minister's office alone is a total joke.
No wonder they don't want a Freedom of Information Act, or anything that would require transparency.
They are too busy working to provide relief for the Bahamian people, according to our PM.
Hogwash, as this article proves.
They can think of nobody but themselves.
Little porkys.

And, how much did The Bahamas pledge to Jamaica?
And, how much did China give The Bahamas.
All a PR show folks.
Nothing here to see, except for the fact that people's lives are becoming more difficult, not easier over time.
If you can't see it, then these chumps in office now are succeeding in keeping their constituents clueless.
No Freedom of information Act, transparency, or anti-corruption laws for us.
Look at how good we are. And, getting along with everyone!
Who is the compromised Bahamian official still in office?
Could it be?................................

Porcupine says...

Here we go.

"US authorities also revealed that Bowe entered the country on a legal visa. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is investigating whether he had a Bahamian criminal history at the time the visa was granted."

Think it will be easier, or harder, to enter the US now?

Sorry, we gotta think a bit wider.
It is a cultural thing.

Mr Aubury says, “It’s got to be driven by citizens, by private sector folks, faith-based organizations and non-profits because they are the ones most impacted by a culture of not requiring integrity as a priority.“When citizens have equitable access to information and the ability to report inefficiency or wrongdoing, public services improve, trust increases and the investment climate strengthens. While allocations for sidewalks, drainage and social assistance are welcome, greater transparency is needed to ensure these funds are equitably and effectively spent.

"But Prime Minister Philip Davis KC, speaking in June this year, said fully funding the Freedom of Information Act's implementation and other anti-corruption mechanisms is not a priority for his administration which is focused on relieving the cost of living crisis.

Why doesn't an educated person ask, why would anyone not be in favor of complete transparency and an immediate and robust anti-corruption campaign? There can only be ONE answer.
Only one.

Defending his administration’s decision to allocate just $140,000 to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in the 2025-2026 Budget despite criticism this is insufficient to facilitate its full implementation, he said the Government is instead focused on “bringing relief to the Bahamian people”.

If this is true, why did this government increase the government travel budget significantly?
And, why aren't costs going down. He sounds like Mr. Trump saying that costs are going down, while in reality everyone but the rich sees what is happening. All costs are rising.

The only relief The People of The Bahamas will get is when this administration leaves office.
