If we look only at The Bahamas, I may agree.
However, the entire system is completely flawed. The unprecedented economic disparity in the world would lead a thinking person to conclude that either the richest few are that much better than the rest of us, or something is inherently wrong with the system. Could it be rigged? Yes, we can improve our personal decisions. To look further into the many causes of suffering in this world takes research and honest inquiry. Otherwise, we remain ignorant and continue to blame the victim. Endemic corruption in a country has been shown to start at the very top, and move down over time into the entire population. Can we do better? Absolutely! But, if anything is to truly change, it requires people to inform themselves and shut down the machine. There are many, many lessons in history to support this claim. We are just too selfish and ignorant by choice to do anything but denigrate our brothers who do the actual suffering. Poke your head outside of The Bahamas once in a while and you will get a better perspective.

This should be our leader's top priority.
Why isn't it?

Trump was acquitted by a group of dishonest sellouts. It doesn't bother me in the least. My opinion of him has not changed since I saw him one time when I watched TV and a stupid show was on that featured him, of all people. I read the news. Trump is not worth a bit of any decent, educated person's time. He is a vile, racist, sexist person. No wiggle room that anyone that supports him shares some of his wonderful attributes. It amazes me that supposedly educated people can stoop so low. Sad. Truly sad.

Right on all of it.

A clear message that the preeminent position once held by our neighbor to the north is waning quickly. A nation of fools led by a buffoon. A fitting end to an indignant slave nation.

Never a more misguided people than those who think trump is a decent human being, let alone not the greatest threat to peace, law and order, democracy and the state of the planet this world has seen. Such a sad, sad state that after showing himself to be an unstable childish megalomaniac time after time on the world stage, there are still people so lost in their morals and standards for elected office that he remains in office. This is the direction the US and other misguided peoples are now taking, by true virtue in the lack of education about who actually controls the world and why they seek the authoritarians in our midst to save us. Sad. truly sad.

melwood,
Thanks for taking the time to show this Evans guy what a true Christian hypocrite looks like. In any other forum, he wouldn't be given the time of day.
There are many things holding The Bahamas back. Kevin Evans dishonesty and xenophobia, spread far and wide is a major stumbling point for this nation.

Though, as a staunch defender of free speech, I have to agree, since the Tribune regularly chooses not to print my letters. Of course, if you are obtuse and wordy, the editors don't seem to mind exposing the most gullible to this warped world view.

"The amazing part is these are gated communities with 24-hour security services engaged and yet these things still go on. That’s the puzzling thing about it to tell you the truth,” Chief Superintendent of Police said yesterday.
Wow!

Kevin,
What was the Inquisition?
The Crusades?
Kevin, are you out of your mind?
Your claim is that Islam is worse than Christianity?
For god's sake Kevin, walk outside your door. The Bahamas is a "Christian Nation".
Kevin, you have lost your flucking mind and I truly hope other so-called Christians can see through your hollowness, xenophobia, and enmity for other minimally thinking people.
What a walking advertisement against Christianity you are!!!!!!!!!!!!
