You really should read much more carefully. Well_mudda_take_sic says nothing about hating gays and lesbians and does not purport in the least to speak on their behalf. His beef or angst seems to be the insidious affront or attack (as he and others see it) on the long standing definition of a 'marriage' as recognized by most Bahamians and the free-world. We still live in a democracy under majority rule and therefore Well_mudda_take_sic is entitled to express his opinion on this most important matter in the eyes of many Bahamians.

Time and time again.....promises, promises, promises......with absolutely no intent or ability to deliver on the promises! The photo above is far from flattering....looks like he was trying to find the biggest Bahama Mama in the audience to hug!! LBT is surely thankful she was not there!!!!

Z and his lawyers have to be gravely concerned that Z's interests are now clearly up against the unbeatable tag team of the Bahamas and Chinese governments. When push comes to shove, Christie and his Chinese friends will no doubt have the backs of one another covered, especially given China's interest in Baha Mar and other projects in the Bahamas and Christie's interest in all the non-Baha Mar related financing his government so desperately seeks and needs to obtain from China. No one would want to be in Z's position right now: Had Z picked Cuba with financing from Canadian and Spanish banks, a slightly smaller and much more highly profitable Baha Mar would probably have been a successful reality about now, just in time for the opening up of Cuba to American tourists and their credit cards.

The departure taxes and airport fees included in a passenger's airline ticket price for the departure leg of their flight from Nassau are now some of the highest in the world thanks to the exorbitant cost overruns our government has incurred in the rebuilding and upgrading of Nassau International Airport (NAI). The same is also now true for the taxes and fees the airlines themselves incur and must pay on each of their flights departing from NIA. Taken together, these taxes and fees, hidden away in airline ticket prices for the departure leg from Nassau, typically total more than twice the actual airfare earned by the airline for that leg of the travel. Bahamians, more than anyone, know just how much more costly it has become to travel to the U.S. since the rebuilding and upgrade of NIA began. Yes, we have a magnificent airport servicing our nation's capital for all to see, but the excessive cost overruns incurred by our government in building it have imposed a very high travel cost structure on both Bahamians, the airlines and tourists for many years to come. This has left our tourism industry at a serious competitive disadvantage compared to other tourist destinations in our region and elsewhere, and certainly does not portend well for the Bahamas as Cuba becomes increasingly opened to American tourists. Airlift to and from the Bahamas is now greatly impacted by much higher landing and departure taxes and fees charged to the airlines which in turn results in higher airfares for those tourists who still choose to visit our shores. But these added costs for the airlines and our tourists alike are taking a most serious toll on the operating margins of our major hotel operators like Atlantis and "soon" to be Baha Mar, mainly due to their excessive energy costs. These largest hotel operators therefore have every reason to fear they might not be able to remain in business without their guests once again receiving significant travel subsidies from our government at the perilous expense of the already over-taxed Bahamian. All of this means more job losses are sure to come whether it be from the airlines, the hotels or from our over-taxed and "BEC over-billed" private business sector. At the end of the day, someone always has to pay the piper. Unfortunately, that someone will be the Bahamian people (you and me) thanks in large part to years of corrupt Bahamian governments, with special mention reserved and deserved by the incompetent Christie-led PLP governments.

Christie has lost it completely and he must sense so himself. He's totally out of control now and may even be dangerous to anyone who mocks, opposes or offends him in any way through the exercise of their right of free expression and/or speech directed at so controversial a public figure as himself. Dictators and tyrants have always demonstrated their penchant for clamping down on the fourth estate, i.e. the free press.

Does Miller appreciate that his $36 million a year in BEC electricity costs for Baha Mar equates to roughly $30 per hotel room per day?! This compares to well under $6 per day for a comparable hotel room in glitzy well lit Las Vegas!!

You must be one of the lucky few to have a reliable supply of electrical power from BEC.

Frankie Wilson aka Snake was never a die-hard anything other than an all for me baby! He's never been anything but a fast talking bully and snake oil salesman to anyone who really knows him well. If you have an ounce of sense or self-esteem you simply do not enter into any type of business venture, deal or arrangement with Snake as he likes to turn on you and bite you in the arse when you least expect it. He knows full well that our court system will allow him to get away with just about anything because he can rely on justice being denied by undue delay.
