The more tax dollars fed to a corrupt government, the greater its propensity to borrow and the more likely lenders (like the World Bank, IDB, IMF, etc.) will seek to have the corrupt government over-extend itself through the taking on of additional loans that do not serve the borrowing country's interests. This is a simple fact! The developed countries long ago realized that the best way to acquire or control the natural resources of third world countries on the cheap is to foster the corruption of their governments and then saddle their citizenry with excessive debt through the international lending agencies controlled by the developed countries.

It seems clear that you are not a "gay basher", but rather someone who has a real "beef" with the expanded use of the term marriage to cover same-sex marriages. I suspect you probably have been happily married for many years and that your significant other (i.e. your "spouse") shares your view. No doubt many Bahamians married under current Bahamian law feel as you do. Our legislators could and should have taken this into account when they drafted the legislation they now seek to lay as the foundation for the referendum that will need to be held.

You're so right to include L. O. Pindling even after his demise in as much as Lady Poodling with her ties to the ruling political elite has continued to treat the vast majority of down trodden Bahamians as if they are mere pawns to be manipulated for the grandiose enrichment of herself, her family and her friends. Christie has allowed her to suck so much more than her deserved share of sweet milk from the teat (tit) of the public purse!
