Good read. Although... I have to research the comment about the high rates of mental illness in the LGBT community. From what I know of some of them in that circle, they (to me) are over emotional which raises red flags to me, but I certainly wouldn't go as far as saying they have mental issues.
Right! I don't think there's a dive operation in the world who has not had people die while under their watch. There are a countless number of reasons why people die on dives or snorkeling, and it not always equipment failure or carelessness. It's an activity and people can die while being active and while sitting peacefully in a chair or sleeping in bed.
No matter what though there are always people who miss them when they pass. My condolences to the family.
