Housing crisis?? It is NOT government duty to provide housing. Adequate housing is the responsibility of a parent. Common sense and intelligence leads humans to first secure a decent abode and THEN have children to punch out 4 kids with no secure job and no house or apartment on lease means that you simply don't have intelligence.
This could have easily have been a murder and should be punished just a fiercely. Once these gang members are found they should never EVER walk the streets again. Since Christian's would rather humans rot in prison than be put to death - let them spend their days in a cage.
These poor and struggling people sure like to have kids. I can't wrap my head around the thinking. I guess that's why they're poor - because they don't think so good. Please tell them that it's cheaper to buy and maintain 6 brand new cars than to have 6 children. Maybe their brain can somehow comprehend that!
The prayers seemed to have worked. No murders reported since! Thank you Jesus!!! I hope that they prayed for no murders for the year and not for just this week. We shall see.
I would prefer if the police do the state killing so that we can avoid the chaos of the courts where lawyers are changed and call in sick solely for the purpose of delaying trials so that these thugs get bail. Our legal system is sickening.
Since we're praying... I'll pray for the death penalty to be reinstated, you know... since it is a law and all. I also pray that **everyone** follows the laws on our books, including (and especially) the politicians dem and the police dem.
Okay, let's work through Munroe's suggestion. Let's say I have a friend that I know is bad in the head and has a gun hidden somewhere. He has no particular beef with anyone at the moment, but it's only a matter of time. I tell the police about this and... 1) They assign 2 officers to follow my friend around for a couple days, weeks months? 2) They round up my friend and charge him for being 'bad in the head' and beat him for information about the gun that I said he had hidden somewhere, and then get sued for false arrest and battery? 3) They tell my friend about a social services lecture they have coming up about conflict resolution? Now times that above scenario by about 50 or 100. Will any of the above scenario's help our current crime situation?
Is it more humane to lock someone in a prison for the rest of their lives or is it more humane to end their life knowing that they will die in a cage? For animals, especially dogs, we consider it inhumane to keep them in a cage for the majority of their lifetime. We even fight for pigs and chickens to be able to roam free. Obviously we can't let murderers and serial killers roam free, although the church will probably argue this point as well, so what do we do. Lock them up for life or put them out of their misery. Humans need to evolve away from this astoundingly childish belief that all life is sacred. Some people are simply evil and looking up and saying words simply isn't going to transform them into civilized humans.
