at the end of the day, regardless of the sales pitch, each individual has to accept responsibility for their actions or inactions. this is something we Bahamians, and frankly a lot of people other places too, suffer from.. we dont take responsibility for anything. its always someone else's fault. by this reasoning, drug abuse, corruption, prostitution, gambling, etc., are all the fault of the party pushing it, not the customer. why have a brain?

Bahamas rating low on yet another important issue.. why cant we get our act together? to have achieved so little despite the enormous sums spent by succeeding administrations over the years, speaks volumes.. we need to find a way to encourage a spirit of excellence among ourselves then we would be motivated to strive for high standards. others do it, i believe we can too.

no great fan of Leslie, but i agree with him on this.

they need to start random drug testing for politicians.. this statement is ludicrous.. we keep trying to put square pegs in round holes. GB is not a touristic destination. it needs to be promoted for offshore industry.... chemicals, plastics, whatever... of some kind.

you read this handout, the BOB bailout, the $65mil being thrown at the Grand Lucayan, the $100mil thrown to Bahamasair for planes, the $70mil plus given to BPL staff to leave then be re-engaged and it goes on and on.. any wonder we are billions in debt, going deeper, and ratings in jeopardy etc.?

reading the Tribune and Guardian has become sensational like The National Enquirer or The Punch. what a mess our society is in. I guess these things must happen so we draw near to rhe end of days and coming Apocalypse.

Socrates says...

there goes the 4% VAT increase. so taxes up, revenue up and gov't expenditure through the roof. trust me it won't end here. wait til they announce Bahamasair will be flying from A and B ans C city to Freeport with 10 people on board to provide airlift.. the hole keeps getting bigger.

Socrates says...

'I am just concerned about my members. In all of this re-organisation, I just want to see my members get what they are supposed to get.' Any need to say more? If you kill the cow while you drink the milk, who cares?

Socrates says...

they say this every time they want to blow more public money on this financial wasteland called Bahamasair. every time a plane comes, we here the usual dribble and nothing changes. all we are going to get for sure, is more gov't debt supporting this hopeless enterprise.

Socrates says...

why is disclosing public, but if you don't, its kept private?
