whatever our international obligations, if any, or sense of christian responsibility, we cannot afford it because we are broke. therefore they should ask for UN aid to educate these refugee children.. otherwise, follow donald 'mentally deranged' trump and deport these children to the home country of the parents...
they mention document expiration.. how does a customer who proved using a gov't document who he/she is at the time they provided the information, suddenly become a suspicious account holder simply by virtue that the document expired? if i was a bahamian with the last passport, am i not still not one after it expires?
u would be surprised at the number of bahamians, mostly union people, who believe the employer needs to justify a termination. as a writer has already correctly stated, by law no reason is required. it may be the employer us just tired of seeing your face or hearing your name . the only obligation is to pay you accordingly what is required. so it goes...
you have to be a complete idiot to do business with any 3rd world gov't ... they only seek these people out to pass the buck for responsibility and blame.. no 3rd world gov't ever gives authority to anyone, thats why they remain 3rd world. i don't know what powersecure was thinking... never a chance they would suceed.. no job cuts, no rate increase, no outstanding bill collection, nothing...
the quality of restoration work to streets by BEC and Water Works once all the digging is done has always been at best disgraceful. unfortunately, this is the standard we bahamians are satisfied with for the tax dollars and exhorbitant fees we pay...
does anyone find it peculiar that while gov't throws 100s of millions of $$ in taxpayer money at Bahamasair to buy planes, something we can argue we dont need, they could not find $$$ so we get reliable, cheaper power, something we cant do without...
like i said, its best if gov't just put seat-warmers in top positions at gov't owned entities as they have no intention to release decision making authority to anyone.. hiring PowerSecure under the circumstances was a collosal blunder and further waste ultimately of taxpayer money... gov't does not take advice if it doesn't match what they wish, so why not just do what u want one time and stop the pretense.
whats D'Aguilar apologizing for.. nobody owns the tourism business.. people go where they feel like.. why not try to attract them... we are not taking anything from anyone.. its just business...
