What is this place we live in? So if a woman wears a tank top or a low rise shirt it's not acceptable? Wtf? Get real dude. We have far too many problems to be concerned about than people's attire when registering. Get over it and stop hijacking democracy.
I mean what kind of sh!? is this? The PLP really needs a good kicking. Neville needs to go sit his tired a$@ down and make himself scarce. Besides the nepotism and cronyism of this, we should be pissed at this absolute waste of money. People are punishing in this country and our government assing around on aesthetics.
Of course there is a political agenda. The question is whether or not we can create a workable health system that can provide some level of quality and inclusion for Bahamians? True, there will be some challenges along the way but we have to figure a way to make healthcare more accessible and affordable. No to socialized healthcare but somehow we need to figure this out. Regarding electronic medical records it is a two edged sword. It can help with efficiency but there are associated costs in addition to loss of patient contact time. A perfect example is Bahamians loving the idea of walking into the bank to do banking rather than online services. Somehow we like the human touch and social scene. So everything has its issues. I am for healthcare expansion to those who need it. I'm not for an unchecked unregulated system where physicians can do whatever or charge whatever without any oversight. The Bahamian public deserves better.
Pray that the kids are doing well and escape this incident without serious damage. This is no time to be running on with the road traffic issues and political rubbish.
LBT would do anything to take the leadership away from Minnis. The FNM elected him and they had a process which she didn't want to adhere to and now she's complaining. Then why dance and put on a happy face at the convention? I'm no fan of Minnis but hey the party elected him. True the system of stalwarts and councillors is flawed but people like only when it works in their favor. Now had LBT won the party election she wouldn't have had an issue with the process. Our country is in trouble. We have asses in government and even more asses in opposition.
This is unfortunate, but we keep looking for someone to blame. Businesses are trying to stay afloat and we have had a culture of unions with childish tactics for too long. Then we blame the government, the foreigner and everybody including Santa Claus and don't look in the mirror. We accept the ham, the trivial election gifts and when sh!# hits the fan we scrambling to pay bills and looking for someone to blame. The fact is we have many kids pouring out of school with minimal skills and bad attitudes. We have become a nation of tardy, disrespectful people and all because we've been too comfortable for too long. Nobody saves anymore. It's spend it all the moment you earn it. Many of the employees at kerzner have been earning well for years and have no savings to show for it. I mean no one wants to see somebody lose their job but maybe we will learn to wake up and be more self reliant and creative in our country.
Now I see why others attack you on here Tal. If you read my post carefully it offers no opinion one way or the other towards Mr. Miller. Frankly, I think he's a crude noise maker. The post was meant to address the broader population. So get your facts straight before you open your trap. I'm hoping to know you on the day your PLP sensibilities get thrashed. Maybe then you will go and sit in your small corner.
Political opinion aside I think we do have to look out for those in need. Many people especially elderly pensioners are really feeling the pinch of this storm and the rising cost of living. They may have had struggled to pay their bills before the storm so what you think about after. True, social services has a role to play. But I do believe that we as a people cannot have such a callous approach to social issues. Our community is too small and as we already struggle with holding families together people, not the government must be more caring. Rather than gossiping about a neighbor how about offering them some help?
