"Qualified Bahamians have and continue to be sought,” Mr Foulkes’ statement..."

Oh yeah !!! I remember seeing ALL those help-wanted ads in the newspapers and online and on the Whatsapp groups. I remember how they were listing the quals and asking for Bahamians to apply. And one time i went into the Dept of Labour looking for a job and said i did construction and the clerk told me all about The Pointe.

Oh yeah, now i remember. It was my fault for not applying having been made fully aware.

Sure.

By the way, anybody wanna buy some "low tide" land? Give me a shout.

I praise the government for this effort which is so much better than the zero effort of the previous circus performers.

"However, to date, no officers have been fired in connection with the ordeal."

Everyone knows our prisons are models for the world to follow - where there is no corruption or prisoner abuse. Why then would there be a need to fire any officer?

I believe the only person ever fired from there was the Tidy Bowl Man, because it was determined his services were not required.

Hope Sarkis can chase those crazy bald heads out of town. Maybe Trump will join in with him and together they can slap the stupid off EXIM Bank's face.

Aegeon i sure hope you are correct. I would be happy to be wrong and called a donkey aa long as our country can be better.

"...all sectors of the Bahamian economy needed to determine what they can live with under the World Trade Organisation..."

No.

All sectors of the Bahamian economy need to stage a national strike for 3 days to send a message to the govt and the world that slavery ended a long time ago. No turning back.

Shut down the airport, taxis, hotels, everything except emergency and recovery health care and fire and police.

Three days. If no result, then 6 days next time.

Do Bahamians have the guts for this - or does the master's whip sting too bad?
