The only thing govt can do is change our laws to make building codes be equivalent to shanty towns and make the quiet title law change from 7 years to 7 months. Also repeal laws against illegal utility hookups Allow Bahamians to enjoy the same benefits.
So what interim solution did Atlantis get struck down by BPL????????? I bet it was allowing Atlantis to run their generators for 24 hours after each power interruption and reduce the fixed monthly rate by the prorated amount. Of course this was rejected because that means less money for BPL. Instead Atlantis has to have their generators clicking in an out busting capacitors. Now if Atlantis said they gonna close for Christmas unless BPL accepts such a reasonable proposal? Nevermind that repeat visitors know this website and may be already canceling their bookings? There is no end to insanity in this country.
No John. Good point, but this same Royal whatever is who sets the rules for buying bonds etc. Ordinary Bahamians cannot afford to buy bonds with minimum $5000 investment and even the few that can are never informed about these "offerings" until they are already sold out. So it sounds like the total gambling money the "in-crowd" has is $120M and rather that invite other investors to the table they want to place a ceiling on the poker game. One good thing that may come out of it is a failure of the cruise port expansion. At least then we wont be millions in debt for them to have more piers while our Bay Street just gets a fifty cent paint job but no real improvement.
The US Coast Guard should rescue everyone heading to the Bahamas via sea or air. They should also rescue all of us unfortunate suckers unlucky enough to be born here.
Water sports and number houses. John should also bear in mind that the US can easily with the stroke up a pen remove preclearance from Nassau, make our 6 month stamps be 6 day stamps and then you have to file a request for extension and pay the non-refundable $370 OR EVEN class us with Cuba and make travel here illegal for Americans without a special permit. The stink attitide that stems from our "independence" is causing us no end of problems. Remember attitude determines altitude and most of the Bahamas in underwater in that metaphor.
We would be less upset about paying this if we knew where all th3 VAT money goes. Over 900 million each year since 2015 and ZERO accounting for it. They cannot say where one red cent gone.
Sheep - that is good it is flat. The poor people can't keep their women bellies flat. Maybe this will help. Government should include one free condom in every bill envelope. For some reason Bahamians by majority think babies are free.

And yet, the PM asked the Bahamians in Florida to return home over a month ago. Return home to live where? And still now a few more weeks? LOL.
