stupid stupid stupid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are sick sick sick of hearing about f&*#@# five year plans. Tell us what you are going to do in the next six months AND the next twelve months.
Can I go to work in the morning and tell my boss what I'm going to do in the next five years and then put my feet up on the desk like you guys? No.
In addition, I have no interest in reading their stupid plan released to the public until AFTER they release their management contract.
Dr. Minnis does not realize that he is the Leader of the Opposition - a Constitutional position. He believes instead that he is a candidate for political office, and at present has no power to affect change.
Why does he not use his present power? Why does he not demand FULL financial accountability from the Government? Show us what money has come in and where it has gone over the past 24 months. Talk about it in the press every day. Don't talk about anything else. Use his pulpit of the media. Focus on that ONE issue alone. Use his power.
Instead he simply seeks more power - his real desire. He has no desire to help people or else he would have already. He would have imposed term limits for the FNM leader while they just had convention, and he would be talking about finance and VAT every single day. He would encourage all other MPs to do the same.
Bring it up in the House, and if denied audience there - then all FNMs should walk out (except for the PLP guy Key of course who sits with them for some strange reason).
Anyway, hopefully people see through his sheep's clothing.
You obviously have NO IDEA of the terrible shape that this country is in. The things you mention are very trivial. One day, to save a nation is a small price to pay. The Embassy "warning" simply helped to get the word out - and they are not stupid - they understand that - the real reason (I'm sure) for them doing that. They don't want to see our currency devalued - won't be good for business for them.
Hopefully you will write another article - with a different attitude - after our currency is devalued in June next year (if people like you win the order of the day). Unfortunately, your late wake up call will be too late. No country has every gotten their currency value back after devaluation - in history.
Thankfully, however, you will not win - and the people will win instead.
Change is here - signified by the death of Castro on the very same night.
Good idea but then Govt woukd have to find new jobs for the seven thousand two hundred and eighty nine persons currently employed in the Business License Unit.
So in other words it will be just like back in the day when the taxi unions would strike and a few of their members woukd operate that day and "clean up".
Anyone who works before all are paid is a traitor.
