The wind, Rain, snow and Sunshine may enter, but the Queen must ask permission. A Man Home is his castle. Undermine that, and there will be little left to save.
I can't see Bahamians living in Tents anyway. After Wilma some mobile trailer homes were set up near West End G.B. and people moved in, Didn't end well for a number of reasons. Probably still sitting there derelict (or blown away by subsequent storms) I remember a controversy about sips, tilt wall, prefab and other type building methods, some MP (was an idiot anyway) said Bahamians want nothing but slab, block and tie beam with wood roof. Bottom line is the code is good but again, our national failing, Lack of Enforcement.
My Grandmother worked the Contracts in Miami, Dad shot squirrels on the land that is now Miami Airport. I've got U.S. cousins scattered all over from Oregon to Texas to Fla, Georgia and N.C.
URCA is a typical Government created Bureaucracy, clueless and toothless, particularly as BEC/BPL won't stop with their B.S. on the "threat" to the grid and their equipment. Solar is a real threat to their Power over the People (no pun intended) and their pensions.
Yes Tal, there have been a few random incidences, opportunities that presented themselves to young men with no moral compass. I know of two attempted home invasions, unsuccessful. One shop Break in the last evening of the storm. Overall, what is happening in GB is positive and moving forward.
