If so Called lawless Haitians were dropped into Taiwan,
Do you think they'd get away with breaking the law?
Hmm. Perhaps because we Bahamians have such a bent for
Disregarding, Bending and breaking the law Haitians are just following our example.......

I have seen no lawlessness in GB, no mobs, I see trucks delivering food water to and from churches and other private relief services,
Can't say i've seen Defense force or Nema but I do believe they are getting stuff out of at least one warehouse.
If the NEMA Spokesperson can't say much then maybe they don't need one.
Maybe NEMA is hoarding? don't know, don't care too busy delivering pallets of food water pampers, fuel and ice to churches that move it out as fast as I can bring it to them.

Learn the process then work the process, it has been going very well in my experience.

Just as Government has been ever expanding their "reach" into every aspect of what should be private sector domain,
they act as if they and they alone must fix it, with their broke assed selves.
Back out of the things you (govt) have never had business in and let the private sector so what it does best: Rebuild.

On Rebuild could cost ‘billions and billions’

Sure, build to 200 mph plus eyewall tornado strength,
Who will be able to afford it?
For Grand Bahama this was a catastrophic flooding event.
For Abaco, a total flood and Hurricane catastrophic event.
Remember Andrew blew the roof off of the NOAA hurricane H.Q. in Miami.
Mold is another story.
Bleach and water kills it temporarily, it comes back.
Look up Concrobium, a long term Mold remediation chemical that can brush, roll spray and fog building envelopes.
Every building in G.B. will need to be treated.

No worries P.M:
I got your back, because you are the Sitting Prime Minster. Full stop.
You do your best, as will I, as will any self respecting patriotic Bahamian.

The_Oracle says...

Ingraham and Christie are cold hearted Bastards to undermine a sitting prime minister
in such a disaster. What single man could cope with all that has occurred, especially with inheriting the mini me and micromanaging layers of the civil service that they both created?
Disgraceful with Ulterior and self serving purpose evident.
Shut your damn pious traps and get dirty like the rest of us fixing our own corners of this disaster.
Politics by your hands is now beneath the oldest profession in the world.

The_Oracle says...

Neither PLP nor FNM nor NEMA nor the total culmination of Government agencies can handle what needs to be done.
Let the private sector tear into this situation without government interference and things will happen 10 times faster.
The micromanagement in government at every level is strangulating everything.
And they don't know squat.

The_Oracle says...

I have seen this exact paralysis before, our successive governments and officials in charge do not learn from precedent Storms.
That picture above is a bottle neck, intentional or not.
And yet they refuse to enlist the help of or listen to the people who know what to do, how to organize and delegate the tasks.

The_Oracle says...

Multiplier effect is government cutting/eliminating the damn paperwork and getting out of the way!
Check the stuff for contraband and obvious relief supply status and let it go!
As always petty small minded control mentality at all levels.
Maybe no mental capacity?
a Grave situation requiring more urgent action than the Government could ever muster
Private sector action takes pressure off of them!
