His point on the ease of doing business is valid, far too many conversations lately on shutting down/exiting/moving away. However, it isn't so much the legislation but the combination of new rules and incompetent interpretation and administration of them. The "D" level academic has ensconced itself in the Public sector and it shows. Add to that the ever present "out of office/Stall/Deny/power trip" at every level of civil service you get stagnation.
Few want any involvement with the Police, or immigration, you could get beaten, detained, disappeared! Why are people taking the law into their own hands? Because the traditional representation of the law (police) are feared, the courts don't work, reporting corrupt or abusive officers goes nowhere. The decline of standards and accountability has created the Jungle law Mentality, kill or be killed. A country that does not value its citizens, its youth, ends up with citizens who don't care for themselves. Life becomes valueless.
No Surprise in his position, he forgets he is a servant of the people, and the people want accountability. Also attacking private citizens in the way you would attack your political cronies is dangerous ground. Ask Ingraham. Tread Carefully. You political mishaps and miscreants opted for the positions, Private citizens simply want decency and accountability from the elected. Would be nice for a change.
Can these people do nothing right? Hydrostatic testing after occupancy? How would we ever know what mail got soaked? Wait and see what bills etc don't show up?
Ban exports for sure, domestic consumption is another story. They still eating Turtles in the smaller settlements in Abaco, and I'm sure everywhere else also. A season is only as good as enforcement, where we have always been weak to non existent.

This subject has come up repeatedly over the last few decades, efforts at some schools have improved the numbers of swimming Bahamians, especially at pre-school levels. I know we used to have the Royal Lifesaving Society courses, I did them.
Ya know what happens after a 25 year long party? Yep, someone has to clean up. 25 years of rank and file mess. Were the FNM perfect? No. Far from it. But a damn sight better than the more recent incarnations of the PLP. This latest has the potential to be disastrous for the Bahamas. Ya can't just trek the mud into the house anymore, the world is watching and yes, due to perpetual borrowing that commenced in 1973 getting our fiscal house in order is a priority.Every time you get taxed and you get taxed more remember the names of old who did very very well personally at "politics" That is a "Culture" the PLP cannot shake.
So now treasury $$ is officially being given to political parties? I say officially as they've all siphoned from the cookie Jar over the decades no doubt.
