Is this how these people were taught to run a business?
Hotels or Power companies, any ass can make a million if they do not pay their bills!!!!

Like letting Government departments run into 120days on account,
crap on that! cut them off!
bs on this Political posterior kissing inside tracking favor seeking
self serving old boys club garbage.
It is this that has caused VAT, massive debt, over $5 billion
Crappy infrastructure, sellout politicians with no public acountability.
and every other terminal illness this country suffers from.
Rant off.

Sounds like BEC is behind again on fuel bills so Leslie is broadcasting so he can get money to pay before they're cut off!
As for derelict accounts receivable, perhaps if you quit the special list for "not to be cut off" by political criteria you might collect!
You cannot be Robin hood and the Sheriff at the same time!
Idiot.

So why if Ingraham budgeted for the CRA in the 2010 budget communication,
has it not been created? Where did that money go?
Election T-Shirts?
In the trailer that went Awol without being cleared?

But Mr.Watchorn, Bahamians do not suspect that Florida merchants are ripping them off,
but they all suspect that Bahamian merchants do.
Encouraged by the political malfeasance that appears at election time, and the mongrel antics of Mr. Miller,
you will be hard pressed to convince Bahamians that your prices have not gone up, right or wrong.
As it is your purchasing department is inept and your logistics costly, and the spoilage must be horrific, all of which push your retails up.
And we do pay for that.

Observer2 if you believe all those wonderful things will happen because the Government has decided they need more money for their foolishness and waste and will get it from Bahamians,
I have a bridge to sell you!
To the merchants, demand that VAT be shown on shelving labels, keep it external to your price, show it separately and again as required on the receipt.
it is your protection against the Government and consumer alike when accusations of gouging and price hikes start to fly.
Duty has always been treated as a cost of goods as you carry it as a cost,
not so with VAT.
is is a pass through and must be treated as such.

The Problem with the DNA is they are as clueless as both PLP and FNM about the Hawksbill Creek Agreement,
and appeared to accept campaign donations from Sir. Jack, just as both PLP and FNM did.
Sir Jack was sitting front row at the DNA candidate launch prior to the 2012 election,
where they presented a lame duck slate.
The real problem is no Bahamians will stick their necks out on principal, instead preferring to hide in the shadows and take the hits as dished out without challenge.

The tone of the article suggests Mr. Miller is trying to publicly convince the P.M,
not us!
First cost $6 million FOB Florida,
for BEC to install, $194
Cost overruns, $20 million, +/- 300%,
Yeah, sounds right.
Perry could approve that, Miller is trustworthy right?

What the Government wants,
What the Government needs,
is knowledge of the internal service economy,
the contents of the bucket.
The Government knows next to nothing about it,
knowledge needed for income tax, capital gains etc.
They already have the TIEA agreements to start digging
on Bahamian foreign asset holdings,
only a matter of time before they start the
reciprocal requests for disclosure.

Legallizing Gambling for Bahamians is a constitutional question, given the non discriminatory aspect of that document.
Do not confuse that very real question with legalizing hundreds of millions if not a billion in ill gotten gains via the illegal activity of numbers.
The undermining of the legitimate economy and the laundering of the proceeds into legitimate business activities is liable to get us blacklisted AGAIN.
That the Prime Minister may be beholden to people who stand right now as criminals
is as insidious as Normans Cay was for Pindling.
And we know how that ended.

A FOIA would tell the Bahamian people just how cheap the Numbers bosses and other "investors" purchased the election for.
All those Tee shirts, chicken and liquor cost $$ ya know.
