Every coin has two sides,
and also an edge!
If one goes looking for racial problems, one finds them, real or perceived.
Seems that by getting Min. of Ed and Immigration involved we have a case of
reverse racism, or PLP'ism.
Here we go again.....

No, the other out island Chambers were willing to sign so they could get the paltry $2500
out of the Money Government gave to the bccec ! ($100k?)
Grand Bahama has good reason not to trust anything emanating from Nassau,
nor does Nassau understand Freeport or the Hawksbill Creek Agreement.
This Nassau centrism and apologist approach with Government creates the economic stagnation and Government "roughshod riding over" we are experiencing.

Ludicrous, they're not worth minimum wage!
perhaps the wages paid prisoners in Fox Hell.

I agree Banker,
reality will bite and bite hard,
but the political class have built themselves nest eggs to fall back on.
I see no real leadership, but rather Nero fiddling.......
To win the election requires the tried and true promise everything, create the suitable bogeymen, blame everyone else.
To run the country requires a completely different set of skills not possessed by many,
and certainly not possessed by any currently in politics.
The campaign money will flow in the usual channels, from the usual sources, greasing the same old palms,
the personal smearing and attacks will start anew,
and we will get the government we deserve.

The Police are out of control, and largely inept.
But, we the people have been watching this progress for 40 years.
The innocent will always suffer for the guilty,
but it seems the Guilty suffer not.
Rogue Cops and rogue criminals,
a recipe for disaster.

Wonder if his N.I.B. is paid up and current?
with 80% of the population living the 5 year cycle of prosperity or famine it is really no surprise.
We get the Government we deserve,
not the government we want.

Complete and abject failure.
The most important keystones of our society crumbled and available to no one.
Education, the rule of law, routine Government administration fragmented,
Who but a fool would wonder why we are in the mess we are in?
It should be painfully obvious.
Personal incompetence and political meddling.

Yes, Income tax is on the table but VAT is required to "illuminate" the internal economy so the Min of Finance can see what is going on within our borders and tax income appropriately.
(open to interpretation of course)
One has to understand the limits of current economic indicators, and the level to which they are erroneous.
accountability is our greatest failure.

I got news for you, the Bahamas was warned 30 years ago by the then Jamaican Police Commissioner!
BK was there at the Caribbean Police chiefs conference, as were a couple Bahamian Private citizens at the invitation of P.M. Seaga.
We were warned directly, deal with it now.(then)
We did nothing.
At the time Jamaica was reaping the rewards of their own inaction, and still are to a large degree.

“Insanity in individuals is something rare – but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

Certainly applies in Cabinet!
Rife in both parties too.
