I was raise to understand that the Parents are liable for the behavior of their children,
and so stayed the hell out of trouble!
Is this not the law as it has stood for decades?
So we we have not stood with the rule of law.......
Is not the law derived from our Constitution?
So we have not stood with the Constitution either.........
How does the pledge go again, when being sworn into Parliament or the Bench, the Police force or any other position of authority?
Do we not read anything or understand an oath?

Probably sold for scrap steel by some Ministry of Works Employee for lunch money!

We don't look after anything no matter who it belongs to, even our own buildings.

Either Government administration would have been better off to Copyright all the names of Bahamian islands, and the words Bahama, Bahamas, Bimini, etc.
Instead, we have Tommy Bahama (Foreign) Bimini Boatyard (Foreign) boats called Bahama 41, etc etc. and many others, all foreign concerns.
Revenue potential missed, just like the bus.

The_Oracle says...

What is this? More Xenophobia? That a foreigner comes in and innovates where we Bahamians are too damn lazy, or are prevented from doing things by our own Government ?
Great, next up a Ministry of Cerasee, replete with taxes on foraging thru the bush!

And this is where your zoning laws should have come into play,
but we haven't enforced them in decades! (and yes, they did exist!)
Mixing businesses into residential areas creates the potential for disaster.
Too late now though, like much else.

The_Oracle says...

Instead of following the law pursuant to unpaid taxes/licenses, or updating the law to support the cross referencing/compliance enforcement,
they just up and freelance it.
Disgraceful,
each and every Government dept. has the legal means to collect and enforce,
but they're too damn lazy to follow their own rules.
Of course, no one will challenge it, but everyone will grumble plenty.
And many will still get away with not paying!

The_Oracle says...

If they would open it up to private sector investment and installation,
they could have 50% in 5 years!
Instead, they will make it almost impossible for anyone in the private sector to do it,
and The Government approach will be right up there with their Agricultural Efforts!

Yet another case of proficient Goverrnment strangulation.

On Gov't targets 40% renewables by 2030

Should have had the Chinese build a prison instead of a stadium.
Prison accommodations for 20,000 inmates in proper conditions is the first move,
followed by a moratorium on bail, by Judicial policy or act.
Rack and stack 'em, put them to work.
no exceptions.
