Any medical treatment is a personal choice. Incentivizing or Coercing employees is unethical. Just as I have no right to staff medical records, I have no right to even ask if they have been vaccinated. Governments have exempted themselves and the drug companies from any liability for side effects/adverse effects, but not exempted private companies. Should we take out covid vaccine liability insurance to protect the business from any potential lawsuits?
Hoarding? again with this word. Planning ahead and securing needed goods is not necessarily hoarding. It could be called good planning. Government would call it hoarding as they plan nothing. And what when the U.S. "hoards" food, plywood, gas and diesel? Prices have skyrocketed and availability is a big issue. Did our Government plan for strategic reserves of fuel? Food? Medicines? No, they have not. They have for 40 years paid lip service to food security, but that is about it.
If there was any intelligence in Government, they would have used the Covid caused Tourism shut down to analyze actual spending drop from cruise passengers on Bay St. Measured the actual drop in arrival tax revenue, but also the tax "rebate" that they give right back to the cruise lines. The above two items are only two of a few convoluted pointless situations that have been dreamt up by former elected and appointed idiots. If they had studied the actual spend impact they may have realized the hit to cruise passenger spend was not very significant, and used this opportunity to change the game. The losses to the cruise lines is larger, with them having more at stake in returning. Ban the ships, change the requirements, turn it into a win for the Citizens and economy. Or tell them stay out. Work on stop overs. Boaters. cruisers. They spend, both time and money.
Government, St Georges nor Haywards have a clue on how to run Freeport. Government has yet to act as a Government with respect of Freeport, Nero Fiddles while Rome burns is prob the best analogy.
Recycled failures, but both parties suffer this self inflicted affliction. No intelligent self respecting person would start the pathway to being selected /elected, having to wait "their turn" behind the deadbeat/repeat offenders. Meanwhile the country slides further down the path of self destruction.
I have no doubt Aqua design was a profitable venture, otherwise what fool would have done it? Meanwhile profits will be the furthest from the minds of the residents/communities without water which will be inevitble if Government takes over. .
Judge a people by how they treat the least of themselves. We have been crappy stewards of what we were given. (yes given, granted, we did not fight for it, contrary to what has been taught propagated and believed). Even the laws on the books, all valid and good were disregarded in favor of tribal allegiances and personal treasury pillage. Zero enforcement. Zero care in the world. Zero ethics in leadership. Zero accountability. We dropped the Union Jack, raised our flag and faced west towards the US dollar. Zero Pride where once we had reason to be proud.
Didn't they just "migrate" to a new covid testing platform between the first and second shots, but can't migrate the data? Isn't that the meaning of migrate? Now i see they've launched the website/platform to renew government issued permits/licenses, I wonder where that may migrate to? Good ideas on occasion but absolutely zero implementation skills, over and over again.
