Digitizing is all well and fine, but it is not an answer unto itself. It can be of great help to people. It can also hamper people. It is all in the implementation. Simply a modern tool. It will not fix endemic failure. It will not fix crumbling infrastructure. It will not fix graft, sloth and avarice.

The direction it takes is borne of the implementation and more specifically, who implements it: Private sector or Government? As to Bulldozing, well, he has actually bulldozed the economy. Totally unnecessarily. Had he been quicker to adapt, adjust, Maybe with better logistical thought patterns, action and reaction.
It could well be the silver lining of this Pandemic, that of reflection, the overt display of our failings. NIB, the inordinate processing timelines and bureaucracy, the Apparent non remittance of employee contributions, tardiness in contributions, and the "deals" made to supposedly pay arrears. Quite simply, fraud and theft. Is this not what the Judges should be presiding over? The subject of this article, that of access to Justice, or lack of, and the inconsistency. Murderers get bail, Coconut sellers get hard time. People going to jail for lack of Potable water? A lack of decent and sanitary prison facilities. I believe Fox Hill was built for 400, not 750, yet it houses over 2000. A national travesty and shame. Are we really going to send Covid violators to what is no doubt the worst prison in the Hemisphere? Our lack of respect for the Dead is longstanding, the lack of care and upkeep of the paupers graveyard has been in and out of the press for decades. Much food for thought in this. And this list could literally be endless.
One thing for sure, They seem Dogged towards their own demise! I understand the initial over reaction, lord knows we couldn't have handled very many cases, but anyone even remotely studying what has worked and what has not, globally, would see the folly of remaining fixed in your course. And yes, it does appear that spite is a part of the Competent Authoritarianism.
