"**45 people were hospitalised**"

When did this happen? Wasn't it just yesterday that Dr Darville was saying hospitalized cases were down to 7 so we could remove COVID protocols???

I'm still waiting to hear the percentage of hotel workers and persons connected to hotel workers in these numbers

On One more death from COVID recorded

"Thriving"???? We're going in the wrong direction. It's people like yourself who must have advised the frogs boiling in hot water to stay the course.

Examine what happened with the gaming industry.

They USED and riled a bunch of poor some unemployed black Bahamians, waved tshirts and dollar bills in front of their eyes, had them march up and down Bay St talking about jobs and opportunities lost and all the money that poor people would make. The industry was legalized and all the poor black Bahamians had to show for their effort was sunburn.

The men then lobbied to shut the door so noone else could get in and they raped and plundered poor communities with their money extraction depots on every street corner.

That's what will happen for marijuana.

They already got you to make the noise they needed to at the town meetings. Your usefulness is over. Is their time now. Your only job now is to squander the little money you have on their new money extraction depots.

The FNM seems lost like they forget they were started to fight the oppression, victimization and corruption perceived in Pindling's PLP. Adrian Gibson, Shanendon Cartwright who admitted his ministry was used to dole out political favours.. and Pintard issuing statements of 100% support. Nobody cares if *that's the way things work*, if *it been handled like this for 200 years*, we're sick of it.

That's a dumb statement

You have things upside down. Donors are FAAAR more concerned about misuse of their funds. They demand transparency. They do not care about how "good" you are, they want to know where every penny went. Brave's report is a joke to what big donors demand

I hope someone has a VERY good idea of how this money is going to be used , has an estimate on the number of women and children they have to support, builds to the need and ensures that a competent contractor is assigned, oversees the management of cost like a hawk. The last thing we want to hear in two years is we need 5 million more to correct all the construction errors and complete.

I suspect this is why Minnis moved Antiquities to his ministry. Minnis actions **appear** to be the worst kind of unethical piratism. Watch him, anytime he smelled big money anywhere he executed some really weird moves to transfer control of the initiative to his office where he had complete control. He repeated the pattern over and over again. I often thought that this was the origination of the completely ill thought out DRA an organization with sole purpose to control potential billions in donor funds, preparedness be damned. Because the way they went about organizing it made no sense, no location, no staff, literally no idea of needs or budget requirements, just enacted. Donors dont like shiftiness

That's ludicrous. **I doubt any govt has anywhere by law receives majority share of a salvage haul.**

I wish ministers would let the experts speak to these matters and cite actual research they've done to come up with their conclusions. Go and find out what govts are fairly entitled to across the world for findings/salvage.

The minister can state their position and commission the study. The researchers go off then come back and report their independent findings. The minister can then do with it what they wish.

**We need to grow up in politics if we want to move forward. We have to stop this raping and plundering of everyone who makes money in our country including Bahamians. As soon as the govt sees success they want jump in, after doing nothing to help, and get the lions share.**

Not sure if that's correct. I've been looking for a definitive answer on who owns what and what the site country is entitled to, I have seen recent changes to laws that indicate that a country never abandons its vessels even if they're not actively searching for them. Thus if it's a Spsnish galleon Spain could claim it. Whether that's the most recent interpretation of the law I dont know. One thing I do know, its ludicrous for the govt to say they want majority share
