**the junior minister was wrong too**. It was NOT ok for Russell to give the explanation that he was *in Cowpen road so he didnt know about Bamboo town*. That's ludicrous. that is the **exact** reason why you have a command center where all information flows to and the leadership is there together to coordinate ALL activity knowing ALL information The fact that the Speaker, junior minister, leader of the opposition nor Russell seemed to understand that is mind blowing. This after Joaquin, Matthew, Irma and Dorian. Anyone remember 2 days before Irma hit when Stephen Russell declared he was "*going back to his office to write the plan*?

these dumb statements call us all fools. with the increase in tourism alone more VAT would have been collected and not a thing to do with any rate change. i wish they would stop these games and get to real growth. We are still below zero. We were at zero in 2019

Here's the thing and this is a "general " statement. You may be the good guy, but laws are created to be blind, to not distinguish between whose good and whose bad but to establish a playing field where in the event you're bad, the system wont get taken advantage of. It's a known fact that non profits have been misused around the world throughout history for profiteering, so just saying we're a non profit and we're doing good doesnt mean the rules can be dropped for you.

I have no deep knowledge of conservation or what's onerous in the bill, the story left out all reference to what the controversial items are, the angles from which it seeks to protect the Bahamas, and whether the proposed changes could potentially remove that protection. It just says these good guys need permits.

The problem in the Bahamas is *most* our lawmakers dont do any deep thinking. How many times did any of them object to what Minnis was doing? It was just Reece in the wilderness. The rest just bang on the desk and vote on sound bites, they have no knowledge of what harm could be caused by any law they pass.

What's the solution here? Some temporary permits to get this work done and some deep thinkers reviewing this law to see what's reasonable. I'm not assured that these changes went through deep thinking, most likely they just removed whatever they were asked to remove.. which is just as bad as what's happening now

Meaning, another MP declared on the house record that beaches and parks' money was being funneled to special interests

**Cuban** refugees are an existential threat??? The Haitian migration problem is an existential threat

The police should read the Tribune and the House records then interview Vaughn Miller, he practically said the same thing Cartwright said. Other MPs were able to give contracts to their people but they victimized him so he couldnt give contracts to his people.

What do they mean "removed"? Get an IT investigator. Deleted doesnt necessarily mean deleted

The baseline for everything is 20m. For once I'd like them to table a detailed budget of what the 20 million pays for. I stress **detailed**, no 19million for labour 1 million for steel...too vague. They've used the figure so often we dont even question it... 30 million for digitization!!! 27 million for the stadium. I heard about one contract for 15 million that was simply outrageous but these vendors have learned to aim for the moon.

"*we are really formulating the best plan and the best approach to dealing with these types of situations. But, of course, you know what Grand Bahama has experienced and we are working really to address how we deal with it moving forward.”*

"**Workjng** on **HOW** we'll address it moving forward"???? 3 years after Dorian and we're stumped by 10" of rain. Pray God that we do not have a serious hurricane
