40 years is the most anyone will get except the government request them to stay on, as in the case of the current commissioner of police and Former C.O.P Reg Ferguson

TigerB says...

They cant use the government as an excuse when they try to find a job, we need to stop this nonsense. It that is the case let them put that on a resume, and see where it will get the. The government has its education already in every teacher who teaches. They must have at least a BA, the students are the losers. They skip school, do foolishness. make sure your children understand what getting a good education means. I made sure mines did.

Actually this is the government that made him the boss of the RBDF. The PLP had him acting for more than 3 years with no confirmation insight. They didn't want him or The current commissioner of police, Anthony Ferguson. He is only the head now because of a government change from PLP to FNM. So I often wonder what all the noise from these various entities are about. We need to be careful and know our history of events leading to where we are now.

The speaker might have a point. Same rule applies to court. No pictures, cell phone off, I don't know the HOA rules, but under the rules nothing is said about conduct of civilians in those halls

the BORCO refinery opened its multimillion dollar facility in the late 60's. So under a UBP government it was ok to have one. STAT Oil, opened in 1972. It was under a PLP government that company formed.. so now its wrong to have a 3rd one to have the opportunity to exist? Now with survival almost paramount, why not now? Are we forgetting that spill was not human error like BPL own? Or are we making noise because its would be formed under the FNM? Maybe there shouldn't be any on the island then...Joe Darville them have all the environmental answers, I often wonder if they care about the environment more that the people itself...

The PLP had this man acting in his rank for 3 years, with no confirmation insight, same as the current Commissioner of police who acted for 3 years as Deputy Commissioner... now in opposition he is concern. He wasn't when they was the government .. not sure this Brave fellow has good memory...

“Have they met with the displaced residents to find out what it is that they may want on the land that they have and where are they building the tent city?"

I'm not sure the displaced residence really care, they just want to get back home and begin their lives. Those tents will be temporary...If they had money the government would not be building a tent city. This fella making people's lives political.

As far as the marines are concern, it was no secret, when they fired all those police officers the the RBDF was forecast to be next. No secret. More of them will be going, this is the first wave

On ‘Why change RBDF top command now?’

You folks need to take it easy, Nassau doesn't have any and yet they have a nasty spill as we speak, BPL. That spill was caused by a major hurricane lest we forget. BPL.. well ...

I think that what all oppositions do, I have been seeing that a lot even now. Everything is opposed by the oppositions. I guess its politics. The PLP didn't reveal any information about concessions for Bah Mar, the FNM wanted to know... now the shoes on the other foot. They will say where is the transparency but they know they can't spell the word,

I am happy for Nassau, while we wait here in Grand Bahama for our time. The more people working then they wouldn't have to rely on anyone for handouts.
