“this is about your future”…translated as: …. we don’t care about environmental issues….read the doublethink and don’t expect a future!
“a new day”…translated as: we trash as we please…we’ll give you a new normal…we don’t care about laws that make sense, like…no littering!
“change that makes sense” …one, tastefully green (environmentally friendly), sign for each roundabout entrance. That’s different. One sign, no garbage, makes sense (hmmm)
and then there’s the…We care about our nation and didn’t trash it with the mustard and ketchup;…..party. (Are they serving up junk food or food for the Bahamian soul?)

We have witnessed a change in narrative and though we have grown a marked distrust for the current government we know this….if they take away freedom of will, choice, in an experiment, they will have proved themselves to be liars and neo-nazis. Until that time we know one other thing…there are politicians we don’t want to elect because they have said they will undo what was secured in WWII with the Nuremberg code!

You know you are reading from the uninformed when a person can say this…….“Bahamians have been taking other immunisations that also have mild to severe side affects and do so without a question.”
Inoculation was one thing. Immunization is another. Vaccination is another thing. Read folks, just research before you write please. Research when you read too! This is semantics, using words disingenuously. COVID is new and therefore, even if they could create a vaccine of the type we have been used to, any medically induced immunization is also new. How could it be otherwise? This person HAS NOT read the science, does not even understand what this new so-called “vaccine” is or …..they set out to deceive you. Either way….credible? Confidence builder?

Let’s remember that we have responsible vaxers, the people who trust authorities and consent
to be a part of a huge experiment in the hopes that it does good. There are irresponsible vaxers, who just want their hedonist freedoms and don’t take the precautions they should and don’t follow the science. There are also irresponsible non-vaxers who don’t read the science and want their freedom to possibly die by disease after partying in large groups. And there are the responsible non-vaxed, who are waiting on better science and consistent reports and studies, who stay home, follow protocols when out, and didn’t need fines and coercion to stay COVID free and help get the nation to the covid-free status we briefly enjoyed last year.
Do we have common sense or is being sensible not common anymore?

Slavery implies the loss of human rights and freedoms to a bigger “power”. The loss of these to the power of disease is normal. Anyone who has been ill, even with a cold, knows this.
The loss of these to a government which is using disease as its leverage to take away the choice as to whether these are lost to disease or tyranny is the “new normal” ?

I applauded the work done in the early stages of this “pandemic” from a public health perspective. I admired Dr Sands for his common sense backed by his medical education. We know the public health measures imposed on our nation worked and gave us covid free status. What went wrong? There are a LOT of unanswered and (dare I even suggest, forbidden questions).

Democracy is about majority consent, correct?
It’s about respect for differing points of view, and taking them into consideration, right?
Yet here we have the PM urging something which the people themselves seem reluctant about. Why?
Why are they reluctant? Why does he feel the need to urge?
Why vaccine reluctance in this country? They are not educated? So why are we not educating, why the increasing use of leverage instead of open discussion from BOTH points of view? They are fearful? Why the use of fear and leverage which makes people even more fearful?
Marketing is not working? Why would there be a need to employ marketing propaganda? Aka lies/spin.
Did you notice that at the beginning of this we had facts, open questions, and a sense of being helped to understand what we faced. As time unfolded there was less information and more insistent silence from anyone other than those who are following the program. WHY?
In contrast to his earlier addresses in this pandemic…..
It’s as if he stood there and said, I’ll let you choose but we have to reach being the most vaccinated small island nation. Or you will get a government which makes other choices which deny you the choice (?)
This coming from someone who’s tried and tested public health policies took us to covid free status last year. A policy that he could have urged other nations to follow and the bubble could have grown.
Surely a free and democratic people urge their leaders and their leaders urge other nations on their behalf.
Are independence and democracy a myth? We are about to find out!

I am relieved to see evidence of freedom of speech in this country while my faith in global media to uphold that diminishes. Each individual will have their own perspective and opinion, and because we have one does not make it the only one. There is scientific evidence, ethical directive, and legal precedent which support this controversial (for our times) article and the principles it suggests. Is being bullied into one opinion and one policy really good for the welfare of humanity?

As Chief Medical Office Ms McMillan must know the science and have the evidence she needs to say what she says, right? Yet as a medical doctor and our Prime Minister, he should be in a similar situation, right? So which one is actually looking out for our health? Who is actually looking out for a corrupt/disingenuous profit system called capitalism?
Bigger question…who is the ultimate scape goat as the evidence-based science unfolds?

We were covid free….and then the government’s policy made us face the waves! Had we been forced to live independently in our bubble, gradually opening up to other bubbles, we would likely have survived the economic crisis, one which we still face from having to continue to fight the virus.
Vaccination, in theory, creates a bubble in which the virus is non transmissible. But it has yet to show us signs of doing that. Natural herd immunity will likely come before that “bubble”.
So which is theoretically better?…the bubble at the beginning that opens up to other bubbles or the mandatory vaccine bubble which due to its experimental nature is untried and uncertain, and due to its supply and demand is a shambles?
Consider this….in creating a bubble at the beginning and having to become industrious, creative, entrepreneurs we might have become stronger and more resilient as a nation, which in 2 years hopes to celebrate 50 years of being “independent”.
Just food for thought for the next pandemic.

Do we have a competent public health data base which can track and trace not only those people who contract sars cov2, have tested positive, and their contacts, but also those who have been vaccinated and contracted sars cov2, along with the track and trace of those who contracted sars cov2 from contact with people who were vaccinated, especially those who are asymptomatic? No? Then we are not executing this program scientifically. Yes? Then let’s be as transparent with this data as we were at the beginning of sars cov 2 outbreak! We were being given informed data over a year ago, why now nothing but threats and treats?

Have they established a means by which if there is vaccine injury it is reportable and useable as data for further studies? Have they established a fund for the management and liability of long term chronic disease should it become an arising problem? Statistically the burden of chronic disease is already an exponential nightmare, add in some nefarious side-effects and increased deaths and this presently overburdened health care will be a joke.

Have they independently researched all the previous work done on the SARS and sars cov2 and the related vaccine studies? Are they independently looking at the evidenced based science as it unfolds in our own nation?

We are a Petri dish of scientific evidence. sars cov2 is the enemy, not the vaccinated or unvaccinated. When we consider that it is a war we cut off what the enemy needs for its survival, we don’t just make everyone armour-up in a one-size-fits-all armour sold by WalMart. This is supposed to be war against a virus, not against society or its people. A change in the narrative from public health awareness to social coercion will end badly.

So I ask…are our public health team and health experts scientifically doing all they can to research and understand this virus, with the full support of our government? Do you trust that they are doing this.?

In a pandemic we make sure they are, we don’t just sit back and hope they are.
