@My2cents - “He presented with a gunshot wound to the neck with exit wound to the left cheek…His discharge diagnosis was gunshot wound to the neck”.
Its kinda right there in plain English in the doctor's report. He got shot in the back of the neck, end of story. They made up a story about him being shot in the face, presumably to cover it up.
I can't wait to hear Perry et al try to spin this one. I hope Sarkis points out that it would have been helpful if, back several months ago, the government actually paid the $45 million they owed to Baha Mar for road works. The Christie administration has been complicit of strangling this project of money and getting us to this sad point, and they know it.
@EnoughIsEnough - no one is saying Rubis caused the leaks. The question is, how come they keep finding them and trying to fix the problem on the down low, without warning the people and companies located nearby? Why we have to be run out of our offices by toxic fumes before someone says something? In the Sandyport case, I read that they knew for two weeks and didn't say anything to the public. In Marathon, it was two years. This is not good enough.
Another silly effort by this minister to artificially heighten tensions around the immigration issue. He was in the House today claiming there are "no go zones" for officers in shanty towns. I will believe that when I see it.
Emac and My2cents - Bahamians too like secrets and shooting the messenger. When it comes to matters of the public interest, everything should be published everywhere at all times, with no exceptions. There is no "best" forum and "worst" forum. Yet all we do is quibble and shoot the messenger. Our lack of a culture of openness is the soil in which all of our social challenge take root. The only thing that should matter is whether or not the claims are true. And you have already that you know them to be justified.
^ Indeed. Before, Fitzgerald said it would take until 2016 for an FOIA draft to be ready. He get catch neglecting his own constituents' health, and all of a sudden six months gets shaved off that timeline. That cannot really think we are that stupid.
MadHatter - As I understand it, Christie those had precious little to do with this project, and may not have even realized it was going on. I believe the permits were given under the former government. Christie just woke up last week, realized that this hotel was already opening, and scurried over there to get his face in the picture.
