Sir Snake has over several decades 'swung' more foreign property owners in South Eleuthera than you can shake a stick at.

Anytime new types of taxation are introduced, or there's an increase in existing types of taxes and government fees, the additional taxes and fees are used to further grow the size of government and feed more graft and corruption at all levels government. This has been going on for decades and Bahamians and local businesses are being bankrupted by a wide array of ever escalating taxes and fees including customs duties, VAT, re-assessed property taxes, soaring utility bills, higher national insurance contribution requirements, and so on and so on.

Each year nearly 6,000 'graduating' D- students enter the job market from our dysfunctional public education system and there are no decent paying private sector jobs for them because of the failed social and economic policies of successive PLP and FNM governments alike. Revenues from an added new progressive tax system would only be used to put these illiterate to borderline literate annual new job market entrants onto the already bloated payrolls of government departments, government agencies and government. We are well past the point of something having to give here as indicated by our out-of-control national debt plus unfunded pension obligations and other government guaranteed entitlements now totalling $13 billion ($13,000,000,000).

Absent drastic austerity measures of the most unpleasant kind for the government of the day in terms of social instability and higher crime in the near term, we are destined to become a failed state controlled entirely by external forces. That's the harsh reality of where we're at today and no amount of progessive taxation without most serious successful cost cutting first will allow us to climb out of the deep hole incompetent and corrupt politicians have dug for us.

Yet another glaring example of the BNT taking money from a foreign developer, thereby compromising its ability to speak out independently on the environmental impact of the development project. Such serious conflicts of interest, both real and otherwise, mean absolutely nothing Eric Carey, Executive Director of BNT. He's about as rotten to the core as they come. For Carey it's all about BNT getting the cash it needs to continue paying his whoppingly over-generous salary for what can only be described as a very cushy job.

And James Albury wouldn't know a conflict of interest if it smacked him broadside his empty head. Albury never should have been nominated by the FNM to run in the last general election simply because he's a white Bahamian. He's just much too much a light feather weight by every political measure!

Minnis is a pathological liar who will now say anything in the hope of voters continuing to support his stupidity, incompetence and, yes, corruptness. This arrogant and nasty buffoon has unequivocally proven he doesn't have the slightest idea about how to form and lead a government cabinet made up of individuals who are capable of governing the Bahamas in the best interests of the Bahamian people.

Minnis has quite deservedly lost the respect and backing of the vast majority of Bahamian voters. He has done to the FNM party what Christie did to the PLP. These two corrupt politicians have left the vast majority of Bahamians holding the proverbial empty bag with future generations destined to the worst kind of slavery, i.e. debt bondage. It's more important than ever that voters next time around cast their vote for the independent candidate known not to have any close ties or baggage relating to the PLP, FNM or DNA.

Sears wants us to feed our corrupt 'spend, spend, spend' governments more taxes so that more of our hard earned money can be wasted, squandered or simply stolen. And he wants us to do this under the guise of an OECD/EU appeasement policy. What a blithering idiot!

The very dishonest and deceitful nature of nearly all officials and representatives of the ruthless Xi-led communist regime should never be under estimated.

And no sooner will these funds be borrowed and squandered by the failed social and economic policies of the corrupt Minnis-led government, then K P Turnquest will be telling us that government has no choice but to significantly increase VAT, other taxes and government fees, national insurance contributions, etc.

Turnquest does however have a responsible alternative choice, albeit the one no non-corrupt politician likes. He can call for serious belt-tightening measures to be taken, like reducing the grossly over-bloated size of our non-productive civil workforce, deporting the very costly illegal Haitian aliens, cutting out many of the other wasteful government spending programmes, doing away with lavish travel allowances, etc., etc.

The people elected the Minnis-led FNM government to break the vicious cycle of spend, spend, spend, fueled by more borrowings and then followed by additional overly-burdensome taxes and government fees, and on and on and on. We are spiraling down the rabbit hole of unsustainable national debt and this madness must be stopped lest the vast majority of Bahamians will once again be returned to slavery, this time as as debt bondage slaves forever more!

Rumours abound that are our corrupt Minnis-led FNM government is wrongfully succumbing to pressure from the ruthless Xi-led communist regime to relax the border control and quarantine restrictions that were put in place to protect the Bahamian people from persons travelling to the Bahamas from Red China. Apparently our corrupt cabinet ministers care more about all of the various deals they have cut with Red Chinese enterprises than they do about the lives of the Bahamian people. Simply unbelievable!
