Nothing but pie in the sky wishful thinking. Besides, every Bahamian knows the double negative "ain't no" is the stongest and most definitive outright "NO!" one could ever expect to hear in the Bahamian vernacular. LMAO
And just think how well off every Bahamian would be today if the corrupt political elite within both the PLP and FNM administrations, and their most favoured business cronies, family members, friends and mistresses, had not wrongfully taken the lion's share of the wealth produced by our country over the past four plus decades to unjustly and greatly enrich only themselves, while leaving the vast majority of Bahamians with nothing but crumbs to fight over. Just let that very simple and straightforward thought set in for a moment. Cooper is a fine one to talk. I wouldn't let him anywhere near any kind of piggy bank!
> "Department of Statistics say that there are probably 43,000 persons that experience food insecurity in The Bahamas... these statistics were done more than five years ago...so, now we are probably looking at 60,000 (or) I would think a minimum of 60,000 persons."
This sad situation is created by decades of a failed public education system and the failure to create an economic environment conducive to the creation of decent paying jobs in the private sector. And these failures are very much a direct result of corrupt PLP and FNM governments alike.
I am reminded of the saying: "Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime." Our D- educated children are clearly ill-equipped to fish and graduate from school only to learn there are no fish (private sector job opportunities) to be caught.
The international humanitarian organizations giving these scurrilous allegations by deportees the time of day are content to do nothing but complain about others not doing enough for illegal Haitian aliens. Meanwhile these same organizations never dig into their own pockets in a really meaningful and ongoing financial way to help poverty stricken Haitian nationals whether they be in Haiti or illegally in another country.
Since Dorian to-date we have deported less than 250 illegal aliens compared to many more than that number who have illegally entered our country during that same period. We are swimming backwards while Minnis and Johnson blow lots of hot air!
Just more 'talk' and no 'do' by Minnis. Since Dorian to-date we have deported less than 250 illegal aliens compared to many more than that number who have illegally entered our country during that same period. We are swimming backwards while Minnis blows his hot air!
If I buried the stinkiest of all stink bones in my small backyard, you could be rest assured the so called investigative journalists and reporters employed by our local newspapers, especially The Tribune, would never be able to sniff out its whereabouts. And that's the real problem in our country today.
Minnis and Turnquest's idea of governing has always been to heave more taxes and fees on to the backs of struggling taxpayers rather than reduce the size of our very costly, over-bloated and nonproductive public sector workforce, including many grossly over-compensated and useless employees at government owned enterprises like BPL, Water & Sewerage, Corp., Bahamasair, Broadcasting Corp. of The Bahamas (ZNS), etc., etc.
And just think for a moment: A humongous portion of the new additional taxes/charges that BPL expects to collect from its customers will be used to pay for outrageously generous retirement benefits owed to the very same corrupt and/or incompetent executives and employees of BPL/BEC who are responsible for this state-owned enterprise being run right into the ground. Yes indeed, Bahamian taxpayers are once again being spat upon by their incompetent government in a most cruel way.
Dr. Allen is totally focused on making hay while the sun shines........he's certainly seems determined to get a lot of people addicted to his happy pills. LMAO
Recognizing the Dorian caused damages value seems to be just as excruciatingly slow as recognizing the Dorian caused number of deaths. The entire Minnis-led FNM cabinet seems to be nothing but a collection of fools of the highest order elected to office by very foolish voters.
