Minnis ordered the shutdown of our country for many weeks, including the closing of businesses, curfews, weekend lockdowns, etc., all purportedly for the purpose of protecting as many Bahamian lives as from the deadly covid-19 virus, and now we see the very greedy foreign cruise ship companies telling him when to open up our country to their monstrous filthy floating hotels known to be incubators for covid-19. Surely this can't possibly be!!!!
More than ever, Minnis needs to show he has a pair bigger than the rat sized ones he has displayed since May 2017.
The locally incorporated subsidiary bank of the parent bank abroad will now simply increase the level of its foreign currency advances to the parent bank to the maximum extent possible, at least equal to the book value of the equity stake the parent bank abroad has in its Bahamian subsidiary bank. This would of course be achieved through the inter-company accounts that exist between a Bahamian subsidiary bank and its foreign parent bank.
....ditto that...especially knowing who the very deep pocketed principals are behind the Mall at Marathon and their usual "take it, or leave it" attitude.
But presumably you readily accept you would not want the following hard-and-fast rules put in place to fully protect the categories of persons indicated from occupational harm:
Firemen should not fight fires;
Policemen should not stop crime;
Soldiers should not enter combat zones;
Medical doctors should not treat their patients;
And so on.
Incidentally, even TSA officials will allow an elderly diabetic suffering from swollen feet with serious nerve pain to keep his or her shoes on by electing a physical pat-down type inspection in lieu of the more common machine scanned one. And no doubt this is because they recognize it is better to exercise good discretion and temperance in cases where doing so is clearly warranted.

Hardly independent estimates. Also this article reads more like part of a government endorsed ad campaign for more lending to come from the IDB.
