I smell a cover up! Let's pretend like boats are routinely serviced and regulations enforced! They weren't 30 years either. I don't know how qualified the operators are? I know one that wasn't to be trusted. Let sleeping dogs lie.
Either help the situation or leave them alone! I know you don't understand but I read your posts because you remind me of someone I totally love and respect.
Not just Exuma! All of the Islands offering these tours should be under strict regulations that are enforced. Down to the cleaning of the snorkeling equipment. Adequate life vests. People pay a lot of money for a couple of hours of fun. To think that they could die just because the companies are cheap and regulations are not enforced. I wonder how many articles that I have read talking about how cheap the tourist's are when it comes to what they spend on the Islands. When simple safety rules aren't being followed. It's really sad for the victims of this accident.
The story was on the news last night also. The woman that died lived in Woodstock, which is about 30 minutes for where I live. She was the PTA President for the local school. She was a volunteer at the local school. When you see these victims loved ones and hear about their lives, it's close to home. I hope this wasn't a from lack of following regulations and enforcing them. This accident changed these people lives forever.
Is that what they are doing? Equaling the playing field. It looks to me that it increase the amount owed say on food, so if your poor you can afford less. Maybe instead of ground beef and chicken this week to prepare for dinner, you could have peas and rice one of the nights. Or maybe PB&J's. How's that is that Equal? Crime comes from people suffering. There isn't a light at the end of the tunnel.

This isn't going to just go away. I would think a lot is going to be exposed. It's not like our government to just be blown off.
