Renew is another political zit on the face of the Bahamas. These people where given the dump over bahamians. One wonders why we need a foreign company to do what bahamians could have done. OH, sorry I forgot they have some Bahamian shareholders, who could that be? Once again those in power abuse the system and the people of The Bahamas get the short end of the stick.

The Bahamian people loose again. I wonder what it would be like for us (the Bahamian people) to actually win once in a while? We get beat by the give and get nothing in return stick so bad we don't know anything else. It really is a downer to be a Bahamian, what do we REALLY have to be proud about except our natural environment (which we are destroying with haste)? Our people are RUDE, our islands are DIRTY, our economy is a JOKE, our politicians are INEPT and corrupt, the church is a business, education is not an education, what is it that Bahamians have to be proud about? Honestly!

Someone is getting very rich off of this project. Why do Bahamians put up with the outright theft of the peoples money? This project could help our country but because of our lying, stinking, corrupt, shithead, politicians and our warranted, deep distrust of them it is mired in controversy. I submit that our politicians are our biggest problem in this country! Do away with the traitors, all of them, and we might stand a chance.

The problem is that most Bahamians do not know and do not care. We are also hampered in a great way by party politics, there are many who would forgive and forget almost any transgression due to "blind faith". Just read the comments on this site and you will see what I mean. Our politicians are a greedy bunch, who are highly untrustworthy and self serving.

The only thing the government of the Bahamas lives up to is it's reputation for corruption and ripping off the people of the Bahamas. They are a legal MAFIA!

Jokes for years, The Bahamas has been a beggar nation for as long as it has been supposedly independent and truthfully since it was settled. At least the ones that got shipwrecked here sent some wood to cover their debt. The question is, are our leaders today trying to cover our debt or just increase it????? vat yinna sayin'! i

asiseeit says...

The truth! The Bahamas of today is nothing to be proud of and if nothing changes will only get worse. Seems the only ones happy are the political elite and their crony's. I am not advocating it but if the supposed leaders do not get their act together and LISTEN to The People there will be major problems in The Bahamas. Freedom of Information had better happen sooner than later. Our supposed leaders have raked us over the coals for 40 years AT WILL, now it is the will of the people that they (the political elite) be held accountable. stop ripping us off!

"We have to stop being overly dramatic about everything and try to navigate our way through crisis."

A crisis of our own making by doing exactly what the P.M. wants to do, borrowing money. I thought that they just introduced VAT to try and pay BACK some of our massive debt. and now the P.M. is actively looking to EXPAND that debt? When will the government o what ALL of us have had to do, cut spending? How about a balanced budget? i know these are big words but sooner or later the government of The Bahamas is going to have to learn them and live them!
