So now that the private sector is collecting taxes for the government, how many civil servants have been made redundant?

This may work in our favor. The Chinese shoot people in the head for corruption and make them pay for the bullet. How many of our politicians would be up against the wall? That being said, This is a typical Bahamian move. "I had money but I wasted it and now I have none, Gimme dollar!" Once they give him a dollar he will spend it on rims for his car, no matter that his house is rotting and the roof leaks.

One compelling reason for him to stay would be to make sure The Bahamas does not get a Freedom of Information act before he crosses the river Jordan. That way he and his cronie's can carry on playing like they are leading the faithful to the promised land. This would also make Birdie and other blind faithful super happy, Maybe towards the end he can pass out cool aid just like Jamestown, Jim Jones would have nothing on him.
