Looks like he has the same head valve issue (a mini stroke or a TIA - transient ischemic attack) same a Crisco Butt had a few years ago. At least those two have an excuse -- they are brain-damaged. Allyson Mayonnaise Gibson behaves as she has brain damage, but is just stupid and corrupt.

Actually crawfish catches are down about 50% from their highest level. My great uncle who is a conch fisherman tells me that they are getting smaller and smaller and he has to go further out to get the same quantity. Our natural resources are being depleted.
Actually, back in 2002, Moree put together a report stating that we should open up financial services to non-Bahamians -- giving out work permits like candy so that these knowledgeable individuals could transform and disrupt out industry. Unfortunately the PLP went ape-shiite over this and it never went anywhere, in spite of paying Moree to deliver the report. He has consistently said that we need to bring in experts to overhaul the industry.
Where Moree is wrong, is that as a poster below explains, family offices (family offices handle money for the uber rich) will go the way of the dodo bird. All that you will need is an administrator to pick and choose from a palette of investment/trust/banking fintech offerings that are available over the internet that will change our industry forever. There are at least 5 major hedge funds now that are traded by machine algorithm instead of human stock pickers.
The march of technology (blockchain, fintech disruptions) will wreak more havoc on our industry than being behind the tax haven eight ball.
So Prime Minister Crisco Butt says that it is like the Wild West out there, and Commish GreenSlime says that we are not in crisis. I wish that lying was painful for those who utter lies. Unfortunately, truth is the first victim in a failed state.
If the first actions of the bill were to root out and jail ALL of the politicians since Independence, it might have a scintilla of merit. Barring that, it would probably be used by the government in the most corrupt way to hold onto power.
Sigh ... it's disheartening to see opinions proffered without any attempt to learn background knowledge underlying various conditions.
Israel has compulsory military conscription because it is continuously on alert with its hostile Arab neighbours who want to kill the country. It is almost a state of continuous warfare.
The population of Israel is around 9,000,000. The population of the Bahamas is around 370,000. Almost 30 times the population. The GDP of Israel is $300 billion. The GDP of the Bahamas is near $7 billion. Israel has a thriving diversified economy from diamond cutting to technology to heavy industry. The Bahamas has two pillars of tourism and both are dying.
We do not have the need for a large military. We do not have the money for a large military. We do not have the infrastructure to do this. And given this government's record, they couldn't even run a cold during flu season.
The idea is preposterous. All that it would do, is put more military grade weapons on the streets.
If you really want to stem crime, you would create an economic environment where young men are remediated in their education and given decent jobs in a diversified economy. Carrying bags, driving taxi or waiting tables are not the acme of good jobs in Israel, but they are all that one can aspire to here with a standard Bahamian education -- and even they are hard to come by.
That's why Obie lost the Sandals certification. They hadn't filed. I bet that Obie is getting rich off the backs of workers and een doing a thing to help them other than spewing bombast in the newspapers.
