On the collection of data from these cameras, is the worry of who gets to keeep the data when the camera is activated and --- captures those as the wearer moves about and captures those in string thongs leaving little exposed as the foreign cultures tend to show a bit more than what Bahamian women tend to expose.
What will the authorities face when these thongs, exposed bungies etcetc or almost nonexistant clothing is documented under the authority of the Bahanas govt. and is documented, to be aware by those representing the Bahamian constituents/people/churches with very strong views which they may consider un-christian behaviour.
Would others on the crowds on the beach want to have their images captured when the wearer turns in their direction and catches those who are probably cheating, or LGBTQ holding hands, kissing in beach or water.
How long is the data kept and when is it destroyed. Are we going into other areas AI images profiling Bahamian crowds data capturing.
How well is the film data secured from hackers, theft or assessed by others.
Number of queries arise when data is captured authorized by the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
The situation goes back before 2018 where the US President advised the Bahamas Prime Minister of these jet skis situation and other situations to the tourists.
These average jet skis with 40 mph to 50 mph or more are obviously dangerous to handle by errant operators. Never even seen a Police Officer on a Police Jet monitoring these errant operators. Also never seen any police on a motorbike ever chase lawless motorcyclists creating dander to motorists.
These situations just seem all in the favor of the criminals, and so if the rapist commits murder, goes on bail, unlikely to face the death Penalty and likely better off in jail conditions when one see the extremely poverty depressed situation where people on the streets begging for food and sleeping in areas on the street corners and find some area to poop.
Just seems to pay off and ban the jet ski business around tourist areas and send the bill to former Dr. Minnis who seems not to have clamded down on uncontrollable business and the business allowed to grow. Bad behaviours only cause the Level warnings increase and jeapordise our Golden Egg Tourism which sustains our entire country and puts food in the mouts of school children.
For this alleged absence of due care and attention for these terrible acts done to our guests going on before 2018 and brought up in at other Caribbean leaders at official State visit at Mar-a-Lago with the President of the United States and Dr. Minnis and warrants full investigation.
Utterly flabbergasted.
Given the dangerous situation existing from before and 2018 date, no further growth of this industry should have been allowed to grow by the PM Dr. Minnis who allowed the jet ski businesses to start up and expand.
Govt should pay off the businesses and shut them down and sent the bill to the PM responsible if he is found guilty under a Court of Law.
@ hj, thank you for your shocking revelation that 'sick kids without a/c for a year"
It is critical that in order to have best recoveries and keep the bad things from growing and spreading and making the environment worse it needs the cold air to stabilize. There is a reason when in the hospital it is essential to have the very cold air temperatures.
Seems that there are many challenges facing many areas of the govt. that seems to be easily rectified and because of the essential importance, but appear to be going on for year --- after years in some govt areas and affect small groups of people --- but is then have to be exposed in media --- and then gives a shock and amazement to exponentially large increasing population in our beloved Bahamaland and beyond.
Amazing from small easily fix-it challenges, putting continuous anguish to small groups of people trying to get resolved, obvious things being wrong and trying to get things resolved --- and resolved --- and resolved --- to delays --- after delays --- to more delays ---and delays --- and finally after media exposure and thousands are informed then there is action to resolve.
Double amazing on why the authorities don't pick up on these complaints from the beginning and keep stability and well being for all.
Indeed this is always a doable benefit on paper to the entire island to have a co-operative type of municipal Bus transit system covering the entire island and running at short intervals.
36 seater bus eliminates numbers of individual car ownership, insurances, car alarms congested roads tying up countless man hours of productivity, accidents, car maintenance repairs, licensing and fees, gas consumption money, import tax duties etcetcetcetc.
Simply, it is more of a greater tax revenues to be collected to run the nation than the fewer number of buses to replace the larger amounts of cars.
Its all about the money to run the nation by the politicians and I like your suggestion that would be beneficial to lots and lots and lots of people.
In many instances of criminal action and presence of cameras or any other likelihood to document/expose the crime, taken in the unagreed act of rape, would likely escalate to serious act of murder by criminal mind to dispose of evidence to incriminate the criminal.
Many rapes that occur also ends in death of the victim with the criminal trying to evade the crime.
@bahamianson It is not the country, our beloved Bahamaland. Its the individuals and the crime that comes from the identifiable uncontrollable stream.
We understand your frustration. Continue to convert your frustrations into your very good comments for better not bitter.
Not the country, but countable individuals whose actions and/or inactions led to the first harm to our guests who are harmed.
No one ever wants their daughter, her sister, her mother, cousin, grand daughter , niece or female to be raped. Same feelings Bahamians have is the same feelings families and friends of the victim have of the atrocious harmful crime effects on victim that cannot ever be erased. Not even if the culprit is put into prison for a limited time and rehabilitation can the effects of the crime be erased.
Immediate actions must be taken to stop the crime that comes from this identifiable stream which cannot be controlled. Fully agree with you to shut down the jet ski operators.

The authorities surely must have some facilities in the sovereign nation of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas to cater to students with disabilities.
