Funny you should mention oil because last week it was mentioned that the company with the local oil drilling leases has movement on its shares.

RE: last paragraph
....'Some people get a work permit, let it expire for years and when they get caught, try to renew........Efficiency at immigration has nothing to do with it.'

Das why we hav the problem cause yinna aint checking the log book next year yhen deys work permit holder aint show up and yinna aint cross referencing wid da nex Airport or Port arrivals an departure book book to see if deys leave the country.

If yinna na kno who comes in de country and leaves we has a big problem so much so that the international tourist guides and country data has Creole as our second language. What nex, spanish?

The fact that is with the full use of all Security, Immigration, Customs, Police and Defence forces and even US assistance that we have this national problem actually might not be efficiency but lack of basic common sense among other challenges.

This situation as dtated in the above referenced also has implications for the Financial sector in that what happens after the workers bank account is opened with a work permit and then expires for yearss as to whether for years monies are deposited transferred and withdrawn and the source of funds is therefore illegal but part of our monetary system.

The issues of illegals are far reaching and stems largely from what goes on and has gone on for decades at Immigration as the only agency which deals with work permits and issues of Immigration.

Its not efficiency, its something else but needs a quick solution.

The Business leaders like Arawak Port Development, the only Port authorized to do business for some 25 years and a number of exceptional concessions to its preference shareholders and magority shareholders govt being one along with some 19 Bay St shipping companies and others, govt must point out any pressures it is likely to face from govt immigration action. Govt being a shareholder in APD and a number of other companies indirectly through its other agencies investments and shareholdings.
Furthermore ordinary shareholders as govt employees who received interest free loans based on their salaries from the Public Treasury to buy APD shares must disclose any shareholding interest if they are involved in raidong these companies.
All shareholders if they are required to call in any persons of interest while working for the gpvt and at the same time owning shares would be shooting themselves in the foot.
Back off govt if you are part and running the AwawakPort with poorly paid or any questionable foreign labour or illegals who may be on site that have to be replaced with Bahamians cause the dividends are likely to fall.

The illegal act of rape is committed and a vagina is examined by a Doctor who sees abrasions, bloodied, torn damaged tissue, and other evidence consistent with rape and the complaint.

So who in the Religeous or Govt legal secton can now sit alongside the doctor and look at that assaulted vagina, mental pain, anguish, devastation etc and determine if is a married or unmarried vagina so that the married or unmarried penis which caused the damage can be punished???

Are pastors or govt officials that good to be able to tell by looking at the evidence of the vagina or penis and tell whether its married or single?....yep or no das one married vagina dat got raped by an unmarried penis...penis..???

Simple solution staring in the face instead of doing the time is castration like if it offends then pluck it out.

Who can tell just by looking at any vagina alone in darkness or light whether it is a married vagina or an unmarried vagina, a religeous or non religeous vagina that is being penetrated by an unlawful, unauthorized married or unmarried penis??

what nonsense from the pastor utter crap,!!!! rape is rape, no means no , no matter if it happens to any french, spanish, black, white, short, tall, female inside, outside, on top or insode the hoise, married, unmarried, divorced etc female who refuses. Its the same mentality hyprocrites pastors who went to get help for their fellow pastor who raped the young girl he was counselling and semen was on the church carpet, dey all want to help him and do nothing for the pore young girl who get raped.
sinning is sinning !money or influence cannot buy a pass, go read MartinLuther.

Rape is rape. Its the hhyprocracy of some religeous leaders sucking up to the politicians like saying church and state is separate snd then to see the sucking up when politicians come to church the church and the dedicated congregation is pushed back and the pastors make seating arrangement for the politicians in the front pews.

Rape inside a marriage should be even a worse crime as it is likely not a first crime and other crimes are likely involved like mental abuse, physical abuse, threats to life and also involve children and cpmmitted for some time before it is reported. Much worse and why it seems some postors want to downplay its severity is thay were likely the ones who married the couple and seeking absolution.

'Clients have asked for better fraud protection and we gave it to them', Mr Torzsas.
Banks are supposed to be on the cutting edge proactive in seeking better ways in protecting customers, not the other way around which is backward.
Next, what are the fees, costs to the customer? Or you really mean it 'we gave it ti them' ?
