The President should be in the role of leadership of Christian population of the Bahamas and put a few dollars data on his phone and educate or learn himself or hav his team of Archdeacon in the know work longside dis terrible disaster entire Bahamas goin through.

Repeated repeated, repeated legislated by Govt to repeatedly pour tens of millions of Taxpayers money into Bahamasair needs to stop.
The Bahamas needs to have Anti Trust Laws, Anti Competition Laws and RICO laws to stop and jail persons who restrict competition of businesses.
It is a wrong activity for person(s) to be complicit in activity resulting to be pouring Taxpayers money under the cover of legal govt to restrict, impair, reduce competition profits, damage push them out of business, bancrupt etc., the operators of similar businesses with private sector owners and shareholders like similar airlines, entities etc.

Bahamasair allegedly having "boom months" periods making money is netted out at year end figures showing perpetual annual losses in excess appears of 15 million or more. Officials must be not skilled wid running business all dese decades.

At these times the annual repeated easy charitable subvention of money withdrawn annually for Bahamasair will be gouging, ripping out money from other people areas like maintenance and improvments to Medical, Infrastructure-fixing critical bridges, seawalls, roads, BPL, etc and working miracles from less revenues to main services to whole population.

Bloated overstaffed Bahamasair needs to be closed. Govt likely to still lose less money from operating airline and less than 8 figure annual losses Bahamasair repeatedly manages to do and instead give Coupons to reduce travel ticket (coupons can also used to market other accomodations eateries shopping etc) to travellers to certain areas govt and Peoples Committee determines most important.

Haiti......for centuries from Haiti's Independence from 1804 to around 1825 period where the French Government and French Owners of slaves demanded and placed Gunboats to demand Haiti.......compensate them some 150 million francs !!!!!!....today equivalent of Billions of dollars.!!!!!!!!

If today there is a much much more glaring case to have corrected this pathetic, repugnant documented by papers enforced by France putting Haiti and its slaves and generations into human suffering and impoverishing Haiti, this is a first case.

If there is talk and action of Black lives matter, then Haiti must be in forefront where France and French owners of slaves demanded and received slaves and Haiti govt to compensate them for their enslavement of their slaves !!!!!!!!!....and slaves fighting and winning battles beating their French Plantation slave owners. Haiti must be at the forefront black lives matter in addressing their documented case against France and French plantation slave owners for justice.

Full investigations needed by International agency like Interpol. Seems local authorities for decades have been unable to break up or arrest persons in criminal Human Trafficking activities despite thousands of illegal persons have been caught empty handed and given a free Bahamasair air travel back to Haiti.

Human trafficking is corrupt business. No answers to questions as to why and how come boat load navigated undetected into Abaco but hit obstacle sinking and persons drowned by harbour not to long ago. S hocking noone was ever found guilty to illegal Human Trafficking and the horrible horrible drowning deaths of illegal smuggled persons.

Oddest most strange situation that these some 9 Defence Force boats or more .....some 150M dollars or more decided by previous Govt and with Opposition in Parliament to purchase these vitally needed boats......from a boat building company located way over across the Atlantic ocean whichinin seems that for certain repairs have to be dragged across back the ocean.
Indeed quite a strange situation that could not look at the couple of dozen Defence boat builders located in the US but went with company across the ocean in Netherlands.
Still awaiting news from the Dutch Government who had started investigations into alleged briberies relating to this company and which was broken by the local press and documented. sometime half a year ago.

Fully agree wid the eliminating the barbaric shackling of persons accused and seems like the Shackles borrowed from Vendue House the now Museum and former Slave selling house located just down the road where Tourists can go into the Museum and get a peek as the accused persons go to the court.

This continued repugnant and disgusting dehumanizing repeated senario seems sad reflection of the officials of the former colony refusing to move forward into this century.

Possible solution to all th locate the Courts within the Foxhill Complex to expedite the process, eliminate the shackles headcounting, bus and police vehicles convoy, endangering lives of the convey speeding , having public run off roads damaging vehicles, wasting hundreds man hours public setting aside for convoy, likely adverse tourist media showing people in shackles down the road with shackles of slaves.

The shackles along wid da continuous mandated prisoners stooling jn state provided buckets for prisoners daily human body functions needs to change. Almost certain no mother or father of any civilized Govt Officials in chage of current repugnant dispicable process ever learn dere chillren to be st%%^&* in buckets and being paraded in shackles an chains.

On It's sad to see people shackled

Very good to have this monument for those who perished. What is really reeded is the granting of National Honours to the few brave, courageous Bahamian lads who at risk to themselves went out to save the lives of others on jet skis. They deserve National Medals.
