The nation operates with little or no laws dealing with businesses, competition, etc. This is not Mr. Roberts fault. Blame is with the Govt with politicians... both political parties always been sitting in the same legislation room across from each other since independence......each term swearing in hand on Bible and oaths to be doing duties in best interests of people. Yes there are sole execlusive merchants who have sole rights to be the importers of products. Yes they have the rights to be the price fixers and markups range to retailers, ......and yes they they do complain if any other Bahamian business competion stuck favourable deals with other merchanders in Florida or elsewhere to bring in similar products with cheaper rates to compete....and watch the main importer Nassau not complain that the goods on pallets offloading on Family Islands by competition business.

Another suggestion is to look at each credit cards, chequing and savings accounts commonly used by the majority of people and look at the stats customer data on platform and offer extra limit on cards, minimum payments, on the chequing and savings accounts offer small loan overdraft facility for customers to have option to agree to it ATM machines and operating accounts with the account in minus/ overdraft perhaps small interest. Banks can teach customers to use ATMs via info on ATM screen without going in bank and familiarity lead customers to other facilities offered and more business.

Tellitlikeitis...I agree we are all in the hands of Lord. Some 2 weeks go the Globe and Mail newspaper carries some charts on steep curve and less steep curve. I believe we have a good chance of getting through it minimal challenges by together working known advices to avoid harm, despite charts or no charts curve or no curve. This ia an archipelago nation and on every island there very sturdy residents who have been doing many wise decisions keeping themselves healthy and many now here done instilled cleanliness hygene done to when ya going out always have yourself nicely clean down to wearing cleanest nicest underwear, always wash your hands, cut ya nails, if ya get knock down and nurse and doctor have to see you....tell me if no island people incl Nassau people never hear good hygnever hear cleanliness is next to Godlyness...

Now you PLP political trolls now coming out of woodwork. Already is RECENT reconnections being turned on and as I said turning electricity and water must be examined carefully. There are usually defects in water pipes system which likely led to having water turned off. Your party failure is to understand technical works massive wastages cost overruns, Water Treatment plant Gladstone rd, Clinics, school repairs, seawalls, baseball stadium, airport maintenances, etcetc etc and all your belief is all for you baby which is why have only 4 seats. Sad.

Mr. Davis just dont seem to understand that poor people water and electricity have been turned off for years since his party was in power and knowing the people cupboards empty imposed regressive VAT taxes. Turning on reconnections to utilities needs to examine deteriatoon in pipes joints, dry rot rubbers in innards of faucets, non used water heaters, leaks in pipes underground, walls etc and who is liable for flooding the peoples homes ruining carpets, wooden furnitures and likely erry item as they claim. Reconnection both electricity and water must be examined carefully. After years of water turned off it is quite likely that persons have found alternative sources to have daily water supply. Mr. Davis should have been in contact with these poor people all these years.
