Good points. Last govt did made attempts at expanding the Agriculture sector to lessen the massive food bill but corruption crippled it. Then seems the usual one party stopping, checking not pushing previous Political party program because they get no political benefits. There are large tracts of workable Crown lands to be used for farming but again the politicians does not use another key in prosperity of the entire nation because they have cronies political cohorts generals just sitting on Crown lands doing little. Many spin offs, many potential from Agriculture. Isreal created farms from deserts. Countries create food items using bays, some farmer grows water species plants and turns processes it into caviar, etc. Just go in the foodstore and look at canned conch recipe meal, canned calaloo or spinach, tuna from deep water ocean side border just look at all the canned items other countries products on Bahamian supermarket shelves. There used to be thriving farms in Eleuthera.

It is not an issue of panic buying. It is the issue of not believing any politican ....which opens door to many other challenges relating to the successful political direction of bringing country out of the disastrous situation. If there is any doubt, then ask public to show up at next Town Hall meeting. Yeah/no? .....Seems there should be a better official Spokesperson like the WestEnd Grand Bahama MP to help communicate nation out of crisis...somewhat like the Pratfall ? effect.

Sometime ago the Family Islands in a archipelago has found it difficult to each have gigantic hospitals ego to the MP and have permanent staff supporting and attached to it....like Cat Island gone spent halfway discovered not meeting suitabilities....like the Palmetto one ending half a mountain graded down....etcetc....Instead ....what should happen is govt buys couple of ....mobile hospitals...and shuttle them quickly by Defence Ship to various islands back and forth... hospitals can have semi trailer drive it up and down island....one fully equiped and others various capabilities eye, etc like army mobile hospitals... can accomodate many islands instead of many islands various populations different areas settlements various levels of immediate help..... not having many islands each wanting the whole hospital.....some islands areas just have good healthy residents most of the times hospital not needed.....then year later may require .....some mobile hospitals can operate as pharmacies, geriatics, dental, eyecare different modules set up to be moving up and down archipelago.

Govt has the key to combining disaster effects now facing..wid der next coming years impending disastrous climate changes in flooding most of the Bahamas by reorganizing settlements for survival....seawalls...dredging certain areas to build and reinforce embankments....various essential govt services built on more fortified high lands....self sufficiencies solar power....developing other tidal powered turbines generating power....better airports like Freeport relocated...and also build a better Fox Hill jail with better rehabilation ......training schools for heavy duty machines operators, mechanics....and not bring back the foreign company to build roads defeating purpose...sometime like major building reorganizing nation more paths opportunities on many islands...

...More secure filing cabinet is the one with Bahamian entrepreneurs having applied for Crown Grants or waiting to have a Crown Land processed to do business...mabye there is space in the drawer for Bahamians seeking jobs.....other cabinet with the Ragged island screaming for help....there is secure space in filing cabinet with dust on reporting unpublished Canadian firm audited on BoB and investications....other secure drawer at bottom with FOIA...lots of spaces to hide the documents....

Indeed the 3 feet spacing will be a challenge when one has to consider the people having to join lines or wait at locations inside or outside at just about every outlet to pay or collect or other transactions. Perhaps there should be greater use of electronic communications where necessary perhaps an store outside entrance numbering system collected by customers dropping contact in box at entrance collected by store and calling in customer waiting in car etcetc.

If the least who have been in grinding poverty, cupboards empty, lost homes, insurance by businesses in disputes, joining lines for charitable food some 6,000 weekly, ....then who have the most... whose fees who were not to be collected to help the distressed may be suspended. But then again previous govt imposed regressive VAT and after complaining by then Opposition who then gained power then again imposed further VAT.....so dont expect to change course to those in better off positions. Rich gets richer while the poor suffer.

Very good work Executive Chairman Gibson. Many homes in struggling areas depend on constant good quality water supply which is either through house connections or standpipes on side of roads. Good work on looking out for protection your employees.Thank you Mr. Gibson.

Hmmmmm.....looking at the Minister's diagnosis maths in coming up at the 400 Bahamas and looking at the sample China of one land locked city in a bigger area and their vast resoirces to corral every powers, build a hospital in 10 days....and compare Bahamas made up several islands less resources coming up with 400.....Yep, about right, like hearing about electricity, shantytown illegals turming themselves by deadlines, like catching employers of illegal workers, like statistics on unemployment, finding places for healthy PMH residents outside hospital for years,...I wid you Doc ...dont panic.

Where was the Minister of Foreign Affairs to raise the alarm having his Ministry an office in China?....and the disaster. Just being appraised in the severity and the Chinese reaction and their ability to harness vast resources and build a hospital for this in mere 10 days!!!!!..... and then as everybody knows inadequate govt doing much in crises....and even years later Ragged Island complaining for help....end even before Freeport wanting help before Ragged Island disaster..
