Despite all the breeches of sovereign borders the Bahamian Officials in Grand Bahama has been very good. They has been good and even some events of catching person harbouring illegals. Those GB Officials should be given commondations and medals.

Well as the public adds up tens of thousands of illegal migrants....hundreds of illegal ricketery wooden sailing sloops taking 3 or more days sailing undetected through sovereign Bahamian waters.....dozens and dozens of illegal boats found on Bahamian beaches even on beaches Defence Force Naval Base....even illegal boats landing Arawak Cay and vehicles waiting to carry away illegal smuggled passengers....even illegals landing and Bahamian Officials running after them in bushes.....and not to mention hundreds of vessels yachts moving in the Bahamian waters....dozens of illegal hacker small planes Officials cant find them at Airport.....and on and on. ...

@Thisisours yes I know the treatment exists in many places and its wrong from blue collar to white collar to legal workers to illegal workers Happens in Bahamas and whole book can be written on blatent egregious wrongs still there.

The global Management years ago got in on the Bank of the Bahsmas with all the politicians and loans and no Report got out....And now global Mckinsey getting in by same govt officials back then govt NOW looking etc fot tax cheats and dodgers...????

Law 101...even though it exist..... and Bank of the Bahamas is there despite it took in illegal funds from then criminal entities....it then took funds from then criminal illegal numbers houses not yet approved...it operated without tier 1 and 2 ratios...it got funding govt SPV 100M million for assets valued some 22.5M...all the time competed against international banks following the rules with shares on BISX..majority owned agency by Govt.It had govt bbuy the Rights shares and some former PM critized this...it got Canadian Marlette Report and never published Report even though it was govt funds paying for it....it got McKinsey Report and never published it....it got hundred millions more funds pumped into it ....NIB funds sitting in BoB who authorized knowing ?..Govt Reports?...AND even there are some 3,000 private shareholders with politicians as likely BoB shareholders in Parliament....many egregious wrongs never investigations. Next we can talk about Clico BoD using.employees pensions etcetcetc..Just seems all money will be finding places to go with or without Law 101....

Govt has already earlier relations with Mckinsey on a Report on the Bank of the Bahamas,...never revealed....and Govt has also Report be professional Marlette on the Bank of the Bahamas a few years ago which paid by TAXpayers .....was never revealed..!!!!!...country cycle is to have political syndicate identify the egregious wrongs by other party syndicate promises change does nothing when elected... and other group does cycle again.

Compared to Govt with hundreds of millions in cost overruns plain wastages...one big hole half a mountain in Palmetto boight and then graded down etcetc,, govt owing people and businesses money, govt wasting money on govt projects with blueprints, experts officials professionals learned highly educated paid for salaries by public begs the question what are those govt officials wasting peoples money need to be called???

Many of these so called tax cheats are in situations like loss of employment, financial hardship, govt owing people money, businesses unable to pay bills and closing, and near future because of anticipated financial hardships like Covid 19 economic effects many will be delinquent. In these present day public known situations.
What seems to happen is that Mr. Johnson needs to arrange payment plans to get money back rather than to whip people into submission as seems current processes to get money from people to cover up acts spendings with no transparencies no FOIA on their govt wastages.

Way past time that the Commonwealth of the Bahamas needs to look into situations where hatred to used on racial groups, race used to belittle humans or variants of provocations. The often common everyday use of certain words, slurs must stop. The nation should be over this by now instead of denigrating people especially by people, role models that the nation needs. Laws need to be in place to put a stop to race hatred, provocations, dehumanizing etcetc.

Goodness grief!!!! What has the Union in all these years and now using the dispicable slavery working conditions image on Bahamians with human dignity in today society. The dispicable connotation is an insult to the staff and creates trauma and stress to many workers whose ancestors were from slavery period. Added to this is the impromptu Union Unions which causes delays and costly to company and customers which the Corporation has been moving great steps forward to better conditions.

Just like any other company having Management doing this behaviour remarks upsetting dignity and morale of staff and interrupting staff work with impromptu costly delays from Union then the solution is simply to fire him.
