Bizarre...!!!!.....of all the 35 Govt seats on the other side of the table, why pick publictly one of your own now in Parliament just 4 historic beating beaten party now remaining.????....why publictly choose to undermine existing MP..????....why try to fragment cohesiveness of existing party of 4 which is the nation's only opposition.????......why try to embarass MP Forbes who has known to public fighting for his Consistuents having making forward movement by reaching across table for benefits for his constituents...and Andros.????....Really bizarre when there are 35 seats on the other side of the table to now campaigning...and quite sure almost 100% public can find another seat for her to contest.

Mr. Sands in all his years of wisdon fails to understand that the nation is dependent on FDI. not for him alone to benefit.

The feasibility of any project is the manpower to get it done and a critical part is the costing of labour which is a major part of the project getting it done.
The Contractor Association has a role to play with the govt in negotiating the part of local labour when trying best formulas ratios in getting the project successfully inked. There are dynamics govt has to take into consideration including the time involved, benefits to island, spin off projects, vertical and horizontal growths combinations, population demographics, etcetcetc.

Mr. Sands needs to also address the long lists of shortcomings his Association has like how many crooked Contractors got jailed last 2 decades for fraud, incompetance, padding contracts, seemingly intentional sabotaging portions to willfully cause overtime, seeming willfully using inferior materials...inferior built walls knowing failure cracking,...ignoring sound building rules....overbuying materials that disappear...curruption of other parties involved like inspectors..bankers...appraisers...quantity surveyors...etcetc,....seemingly intentional not fully having labour and equipment to get correct measurements,....seemingly intentional building maximum profits for contractor into early stages to get profit and then find excuse to quit,...Bahamian public is fully aware of Contractors.......just on and on with all incompetance. Mr. Sands needs to tell the public how many crooked Contractors went to jail over last 2 decades.

How can the govt do this fully knowing and almost immediatelty thereafter days apart the present Attorney General done made statements on Toby Smith, refurbishing national sculptures with Bahamian national pride, Bahamian entrepreneur blueprints plans on development on eastern end Paradise Island carried in media days ago..some 40,000 Bahamian and foreign daily newspapers readers....media...daughter abroad also writing touching letter ...........you kidding govt now announcing what govt can do ....?

I got my time line all kerpunkled up ever bigger when one political party got so peeved at the hotel corporation of the bahamas and closed it down because they blamed it for many things and so it 'closed' people laid off etc.seemed closed. But then Lucayan Hotel purchase came up the history having 'closed' the Hotel Corporation of the Bahamas then starting the purchase was a special purpose vehicle doing the transactions. Then guess what....the Hotel Corporation of the Bahamas was never 'closed' but still there by the present govt.

The dilemna of politically appointed officers is when appointed they carry out objectives and the Opposition party critizes that party objectives,
and the when the government changes and the seems to have to change the tune in line with the other party. In both parties they have opposing views and widely announce their views like VAT effect being regressive on poor people.

Mr. Rolle obviously dont shop on Amazon, Walmart etc and compare all costs paid versus buying in local stores. ....and isnt he a main architect putting regressive vat taxes hurting the poor more than the wealthy....and even having even more Regressive VAT applied even hurting majority poor. more.....didnt even do much when consumers picketed having to pay $16 dollats to cash a cheque....didnt even pay much attention when the KYC bank regulation and other identity rules approved put into effect and not too long ago some 42 000 banking accounts could not find its owners and made dormant over few years and some 80 some millions taken from local banks into his Central Bank...he also allowed the Bank of the Bahamas, govt bank with some private shareholders to operate without tier 1 and 2 ratios and compete with other competetor banks...still not no Financial Ombudsman.....and so on an on....and previous report 2019 even cites Bahamas in Caribbean biggest widening gap between rich and poor....and isnt he politically appointed along with Board of Directors of Central Bank....

10th May, 1980 coming up soon, anniversary date, a most sad day in the history of the nation when the Bahamas Defence Force boat Flamingo was visciously attacked by the wicked evil Communist Cuba Migs Air attack planes entering illegally into sovereign Bahamian territory and attacking RBDF Flamingo boat. And then gunning down our brothers swimming to survive in the Bahamian waters.

There must be a National Day of Rememberance for our brothers who died and every officer on board in duty of our protection of our sovereign territory. This must be a National Honour of our brothers and sisters who enlist for our nation.!!! This must have every single citizen and resident give recognition to the officers of the nation protection and defence of our sovereign Bahamas nation. Must be honour, sad but fiercely uplifting speeches for our brothers and sisters. The past slmost quietly ceremony must blossom forth nationally for this event.!!!

Where is the Commonwealth of the Bahamas Official Opposition Party's commentary, or presence on such a milestone on the 'signing of the sales and heads of agreement' very large nation's property?

Is the continuous trend where the Official Government for usually 5 year term continues to made deals with just the imput of the one ruling political party in power? What is the Official Opposition getting a taxpayers funded salary doing?
