This is absolute hogwash. Absolute hogwash. Almost 20 days and the PHA is reviewing. What in the hell are they reviewing? So the PHA requests the audit and now they are reviewing the audit findings? Hogwash. After almost 200 days, what has been done Honorable Minister to ensure the protection of Bahamian funds? This is absolutely incredible.

I did not just read that letter...................This must be an attempt to give the Bahamian people a good laugh......................................Are we serious?

Unbelievable. Unthinkable.

A master move by Dr. Minnis. What we are missing is the fact that he has also given little time for Hubert Ingraham to sneak into the leadership race. As for Butler-Turner, it is obvious that she is still politically naive. She has hurt her chances of leadership because she hasn't learned to keep party matters inside the party.

dehavmoss says...

It starts with leadership. I honestly don't believe Bahamians realize the long term danger that we are in. We can't account for hundreds of millions of dollars, but yet we make the same decisions over and over and over again.

In the classic case of who dun it, PLP MPs Shane Gibson and Dr. B.J. Nottage are now saying that the missing inventory occurred under the FNM. This is not the issue here. The issue here is that the audit report was dated March 31st, 2014 and 191 days has passed and the Minister of Health has not seen fit to table the report in parliament. What was he waiting on? And now that we know that he did not perform his ministerial duty to report the matter, what is going to become of him?

This is irresponsibility in the highest order. And what about the prime minister's role. You mean to tell me he had no idea of the audit's findings. What else audit reports are out there that have not been reported to the public?

The Bahamian people aren't concerned when it happened. The fact of the matter is that it did happen and we need the powers that be to make the perpetrators accountable.

Yes he is trying to undermine the PM. The PLP council knows it, the Prime Minister knows it, the FNM and DNA know it and Dr. Rollins said it.

I can't see how Mr. Davis does not know it.

dehavmoss says...

If he is qualified and the council agrees that he is, then give him what he wants. It is incredible that no one had any idea the ball park figure that Dr. Smith was looking for.

If COB can't afford to pay Dr. Smith or is unwilling then find someone else. There is no need to drag this on for another several months.
