How about you find a study that proves that total population lockdowns have ever been previously tried before in human history, let alone are successful ways to respond to an airborne respiratory pathogen. The truth is that the CCP invented total lockdowns in January 2020 and we have all followed this marxist tomfoolery as if it's based on established scientific law. I do agree with you regarding study bias but these new studies are the "science" and they are not painting a pretty picture re. the long term reduction of harm

Lock down and the disease slows down. come out of lockdown and the disease courses through the nation once again. Somebody with some backbone needs to admit that these WHO lockdown guidelines are only to SLOW the spread - and at some point, we have to ask ourselves whether we want to get this over and done with, or drag it out until we are an economic basket case. Suffer through this crisis as a brave independent nation, or nanny down and hand our economic sovereignty over to the IMF, or worse, the CCP. In times of peril, no country yet has survived by hiding under the bed.

I couldn't have said it better. North Eleuthera airport with 1,000 people coming in within a few days for Thanksgiving. Is going to be ridiculous. And the joke is that this program is not even going to stop the virus from entering the country. Identifying someone as positive after they have spent four days hanging out in bars and restaurants is going to achieve what ?

This guy never came up with one fresh idea in his whole life ! Whilst Papa Doc and his cronies mindlessly drank the WHO coolaid, BD was standing next to them with his hands in his pocket wishing he had his own straw. Now in hindsight, he's going to stand there and tell them they did it all wrong ?! .....Next !

Wait until you see the travel rules 2.0. Hopefully the Minister of Tourism has included an amount in the budget for the government to pay tourists to actually come here and put up with the idiocracy. Meanwhile, everyone in the country will have caught it from our own weekend Miami shopper crowd in June. The confirmed cases here are going up exponentially and scientists speculate that maybe x10 of the population has it......But it's a good thing our priority is to screen the tourism industry out of existence. Apparently, we should all be thinking about farming and working in call centers in the future anyway

Hard to believe anyone is paying any attention to these lunatics at the Imperial College and their whack-job computer models. Maybe 666 had the covid ? Maybe 210 had it ? Just give me $2 mill. and I will make sure you get to be first in line to get the cure

This guy is so out of touch. Who is going to come here if they have to be locked in a hotel room for their entire stay. We all did follow his ridiculous science for this whole year and nothing has stopped this virus from doing whatever it wants to do. And what's the flipside. Do you send tourists back on the plane after they booked an expensive vacation because they test positive once they land? What about the planeload of people they came with? These politicians seriously can't see past their noses. You may as well just tell the hotel industry to stay locked down until the communist Chinese have taken over the country's economy and then announces that the virus never actually existed and we can all go back to work for half pay

These Bahamian Politicians are like children and too many people around here think they are entitled to get free handouts for life-based on some BS. Gov. fantasy that 'foreigners' don't have any other option in life but to subsidize our lazy as.. for suck teeth. 50 (+) years of independence and successive populist politicians have helped themselves to the cookie jar without a thought for anyone else or the future of this country. Our infrastructure is in tatters, there is virtually no primary or secondary industry. The banking sector has fallen off a cliff and the only reason we get any tourists coming to our overpriced, underperforming sector of the Caribbean is because we are only 30 minutes away from Miami. Successive governments have printed and borrowed money like there is no tomorrow and the vast majority of it has gone unaccounted for.....but booooohooooo..... the united nations don't understand that its all the hurricanes fault. In the meantime. Some grown-up politicians in the region looked at all of this communist covid hysteria and admitted to their people that it was not financially viable to lock down and educated their population on how to keep the economy functioning safely. Not our bone heads. In spite of countless warnings and downgrades in recent years, the entire cadre of Bahamian Politicians believed we could somehow just play with the big kids and then what....go crying to mummy afterwards..... Wow!
