Speaking of foreigners coming here, I have heard that the Chinese are about to move into the fisheries and banking in the Bahamas. I don't know how true that is,but maybe someone has more info
Be patient Dr.Minnis, these are high level business negotiations. As soon as the next "final" offer will be put on the table,PC will present it again to the cabinet for approval. After that the bosses of C& W will pay another courtesy call to PC. If the world does not end by that time, you will know the answer
I believe PC is the minister responsible for BOB. Now I know that finance is not really his field ( he has demonstrated this again and again) but perhaps he could answer a really simple question. Were any unsecured loans were given during his administration and to whom?
You are so right. No matter who is right or wrong in this particular case it really looks strange to have different ministers of the same administration contradict each other. This has become a trend, and at the end they all look like a bunch of incompetents who can't even stick to a story
From what I understand he is in Panama right now, conducting people's business of course. After all he said that you can't build relationships just by picking up the phone. You have to visit people.
Ok people data needs to be collected. Who lives there, how much money he makes,is he voting PLP,FNM or DNA,does he writes letters to the press, does he play numbers,is he on facebook/twitter etc. Data needs to be collected
As long as the "number houses" operate openly and without prosecution nobody will take PC seriously in his outbursts about crime. Either legalize them or shut them down. Take your pick. Really it has nothing to do with gambling anymore. You just can't have the law enforced in selective cases. So really PC can make all the speeches he wishes, but what's the point.
When they asked PC about VAT he referred them to IMF because he did not know the answer. The so called "experts" can't give a straight answer. They keep flying in foreign consultants because they don't know how the system works. They expect to get 500 to 800 million from that in revenue. Sure they will. Now a hotline. This is going to be such a mess.
PC is so confused that he really needs to retire. He "orders" the web shops to close but "the issue is complex". No kidding. He is not responsible for enforcing the laws but he will put a policeman in every corner. I expect something similar with BTC,we got the 2% back,but.....
