Thank you Fred Smith. Without your continuing and fearless work these people, and those previously released through your efforts, would still be rotting away alone, out of sight, out of mind to the the citizens of this country. Now if only the individuals who inflict cruelty on these prisoners could be held accountable in some way.
Most Bahamians and certainly most a;; Residents know that The Department has despicable and corrupt officers which is why we were so relieved to read this week that no one wearing open toe shoes is allowed to enter The Immigration Department building. Bare toes on display? What a truly shocking idea. It is good that this Department has this department has it's priorities set correctly.
to best have parliamentarians reflect the people they represent about 20 should be women, four or five should be white Bahamians, and there should be lots of young people. And let us also lower the voting age to 16 years old, there are plenty of sensible better informed 17 year olds.
This is a very serious matter. When the trained members of the state security services ignore the law so blatantly they must be subject to the most severe punishment. And obviously dismissed from the Defense Force. The country does not need trained military personnel roaming the streets with illegal firearms.
This man will probably end up in jail where he will be treated very badly by the guards and other inmates alike. It is probable that in a more advanced country he would be remanded for a psychiatric evaluation and appropriate treatment and/or care.
The history of our human race has been one long litany of warfare and conquest. Almost always it has been men who did the fighting. As long as men were prepared to fight and possibly die to defend their women and children then women quite rightly were expected to care for the home and family. Just recently things have started to change; women are more and more expected to take an active role in conflict and consequently the rule book that governed 60,000 years of human development is being re-written. Women, please learn how to fight and kill; men please learn how to wash clothes and mop a floor. Fair is fair.
ZNS staff have walked off their jobs? Great, mow lock the doors to prevent them ever getting back in again. A good start to getting rid of the thousands upon thousands of state employed workers who suck the wealth created by the private sector from our limited economy.
