People who spread hatred and religious or racial intolerance are despicable. The Tribune is not doing our country a favour in continuing to print the rather twisted and very questionable opinions of this letter writer.

She hosted a show that I listened too only rarely because it was boring. Businesses did not want to invest their advertising money into her show. The show was losing too much money. End of show. Simple. If Shenique thinks otherwise then she should buy airtime from one of the radio stations, put on her own show and sell her own advertising time to fund it. Entitlement at work yet again.

There is something fundamentally wrong with people who applaud the death of another person. This incident is just sad.

This letter writer claims to have seen surveys. I do not think she is telling the truth. How many people die each year from smoking marijuana? Answer; none. How many people die each year from obesity caused diseases? Answer; millions. Ms Smith should be lobbying to make fried food and sugar illegal and stay away from commenting on subjects about which she is demonstrably uninformed. Sigh.

You have served your term on the police force now please leave gracefully. You are not entitled to anything more than your pension. Some of these officers are just ridiculous.

The UK has a maximum jail sentence of 14 months for killing in the course of dangerous driving. This seems a fairer sentence than these pathetically small fines handed by magistrates in the country in the last year or so. The family of the one killed should also be able to bring a civil suit to make the driver who killed their family member liable for what that person could have earned over his or her lifetime, something approaching a million dollars. Basically most of the killer's pay check for the rest of her, or his, life. That would be truly just.

Where did this letter writer get this idea that letters and communications to cabinet ministers or senior government officials were confidential? I have seen little to no evidence of this in the past. Strange idea altogether.

The opinions expressed by letter writers who claim to be able to speak the will of God are invariably flawed. It is simply dishonest to correlate the murder of a baby with taking an aabortifact pill. A six week old foetus is not a baby and cannot even be seen with the naked eye . It is so easy to spread misinformation and self proclaimed religious leaders do more than their share. it would seem

How refreshing to read of a churchman displaying courage and common-sense instead of the more commonly expressed silly dogma or politically motivated misinterpretations of the Bible.
