Armed thugs holding up HopeTown residents? That hasn't happened since before the pirates left. They will be better off if the police catch them cos if some of them Abaco boys catch them first then nobody going to ever see them again.........

Yes, Madhater, you are correct, if Bahamian grades are looked at in isolation to other countries grade curves. But, although I have no empirical data, I believe the grades earned by Bahamian students are near as can be correct and in line with first world standards of education. My belief is based on 8 close family members transmitting into foreign academic systems or from them. Mu belief is also bolstered by the grades obtained bt Bahamian students when the standard was administered by the Cambridge School of Education, called GCE's prior to Bahamianization.

D minus students deserve no more than D minus wages when they enter the work force. It costs parent(s) about $200,000 to feed, clothe and educate a child to 20 years of age. Dumb girls having babies at 15 or 16byears old condemn their children to life-long poverty, but let's blame the government, or the Whiteman, or foreigners owning hotels or businesses in this country. Sigh.......

I find this subject of these RBDF marines being lauded as heroes just because, it sometimes seems, they had the tragic misfortune to be killed while on active service difficult to fully process.. I suppose some haters will be posting replies but twenty thousand infantry troops of the allied army were killed in the space of twenty minutes during one of the advances in the first battle of the Somme in 1916. Were these men all heroes or simply soldiers doing their duty? I think both. The names of these marines could be added to a plaque affixed to our existing memorial to those Bahamian servicemen killed during the last two world wars. The memorial immediately south of Rawson Square for those who have never visited it to pay their respects to our other heroes, or servicemen killed while on active service, whichever you think is the correct description.

Thank you, Dawes. I think that this "Graduate" person actually graduated with a D-. Some people use long words and convoluted sentences to appear more educated. It takes real intelligence to convey concepts in few words.
