IronV, I couldn't agree more. Our PM is off his rocker on this one. My friends and I have collectively decided to incorporate a pharmaceutical company and sell marijuana for "medicinal purposes". We will aim to employ at least 1,500 to work the fields and double dare this Goverment to shut us down because our reasons for growing marijuana are good, we are sustaining the economy by employing people, and we are paying national insurance. What a flippin' fluke!!!!

People keep referring to the issue of foreigners having more rights than Bahamians in our own country but we fail to see that this is not a legalisation of gambling but a legalisation of number houses. At the end of the day the tourists are still not coming to the number houses and the Bahamians still won't be allowed to gamble in the casinos. Therefore the issue of gambling is still not addressed. Just the issue of being able to buy numbers and somehow we think that because with the legalisation of web shops, we can access the casinos online, we will now be on par with the foreigners. This is not true. Our black selves can still not go into the casinos and everybody does not win, just the numbers boys. Think about it!

Isn't Ms. Hamilton the former the President of the Nurses Union? If so, she should be able to answer these questions herself.

The good part about living in a democratic society is we all have the right to make our own choice. If we are smart... and I believe we are.... noone will persuade us to vote outside of our conscience especially the vote yes or vote no "pastors". By now I believe that most of us have already decided. Both sides are wasting money. This is not an election campaign. Bahamians are too smart for that.

Lol. I was thinking the same thing. Why would you put a statement like that out there? Me thinks I really need to get to know my AG's in case I or a family member get in trouble and need some help. lol

What I don't like is the PM's constant resort to the old heads (mostly from the Pindling era who have already served) for these posts. While I don't question Fr. Moultrie's integrity I am concerned that our PM is not even trying to find young blood - and I am sure they are out there. How did the old heads get the experience in the first place? Didn't they have to start somewhere? And what will they do when these old heads die off and the new generation of PLP's have not yet been trained. Scary thought.

The whole thing reeks of hypocrisy. How in the world do you allow persons who are breaking the law to actually advertise it and while they are adverstising it, it is STILL illegal.

If Bahamians can be "bought" by this, then we deserve the repercussions!

Now real_talk, do you seriously believe that even after this so-called "audit" that if a case was found for misappropriating our (the Bahamian people's) funds, that anyone will be arrested and hauled before the courts? Me thinks not! History has shown that Bahamian crookedry at its highest levels is never ever dealt with. We are fooling ourselves if we think otherwise. But I leave a very tiny window of hope for this Government to shock me.
