Historically, although the RPT Act gives the Government the right to place a lien on property for unpaid taxes (with the right to repossess it), the law is not enforced. All the Government has to do is enforce the law. Or perhaps attach the requirement to something that people have to pay like getting their buildings insured. Make it mandatory that insurance is not issued without proof of payment just like some of the banks do who do not give you a Satisfaction of Mortgage without proof of payment of taxes... just an idea, of course.
If you ask me they are all darned crooks! The only idiots in the middle are the poor and hardworking taxpayers. Gone are the days when good citizens actually entered politics to HELP the country. It's more a case of let's help ourselves!
This whole situation saddens and concerns me. Like everything else politically that's wrong in this country, it will be ignored into oblivion. While the media is the watchdog for the U.S. politicians, who is ours? We are the only country I know where politicians can "do fool" and stay in office sucking off the fat of the taxpayers' money. They are rarely forced to step down or are held accountable. It speaks volumes of our intergrity as a nation. No wonder we can't control crime. The biggest criminals are at the top of the food chain!
I agree. Based on all I heard about NiB over the past few years, Mr. Cargill obviously cleaned up the mess that it was and almost single-handedly turned it around financially. People just hate discipline and change and are obviously on a mission to get him out. But you know what they say. You can't keep a good man down.
Seems to be the trend of late with murder trials. The accused always appear to get off due to insufficient evidence, etc. Someone is dropping the ball. The Prosecutor or the police. Whoever it is, the real criminals are getting away with "murder". I pray they find the real killer.

Lol. Everyone may "know" but "knowing" and "hearing" (i.e. hearsay) don't hold up in a court of law.
